Especially if your side is the one which lost the war.
Yet Serbian politicians recently put forth a constitution which contained a clause concerning Kosovo which they knew was beyond their power to enforce and would soon be rendered absurd by events on the ground. And since they haven't communicated to their electorate what we've been telling them for the last 6 years, they've now got a constitution which will keep them out of NATO and the EU until they amend it.
Par for the course for the Serbs, unfortunately.
Keeping Serbia out of the EU or out of NATO is no big deal, as no shooting war would erupt over such a matter.
The same can't be said for taking one of their cities, though you seem flippant about it for some reason...even anxious or gleeful for the vent to occur.
An odd behavior. Are you willing to explain your background (e.g. are you French or Muslim or anti-NATO) in regard to why you would rush so joyfully into yet another European war?
Well, I'm out of guesses. How do *you* explain why you want Kosovo to be taken from Serbia even at the cost of war?
It'll make you look smart.
It's a question that needs to be addressed. Why do you want a city taken from another country at the risk of war?
What motivates you?
It's an unusual position for someone to take, yet you've taken it on enthusiastically.
So it shouldn't surprise you that it evokes legitimate questions.
Perhaps you simply don't want to answer it, though.
"Are you willing to explain your background (e.g. are you French or Muslim or anti-NATO) in regard to why you would rush so joyfully into yet another European war?"
No, he's a moron, plain and simple....
Par for the course for Hoplite, unfortunately.
With what? A bunch of yahoos with AK-47s?
Do not be so quick to dismiss the Serb Army.
The Serbian military currently has over 800 tanks, 1200 APC's, 2500 artillery pieces, countless anti-tank guns and missiles, and numerous anti-aircraft missiles and guns. While a lot of this equipment is old when compared to American weaponry, the Serb Army is still one of the most powerful in that corner of the globe.
I would much rather have them on our side than have them fighting against us.
"I would much rather have them on our side than have them fighting against us."
...yes, because unlike the muslims, they wouldn't be plotting on how to destroy us while we support their cause.
I seem to remember reading an article a few months ago that one of the main problems the Serbian military is facing is a severe shortage of fuel, particularly aviation fuel, thanks mostly to the fact that none of the Middle Eastern countries will sell to them. They have to get all of their fuel supplies from Romania and there is a limited amount available. Do you know if this is true?
Color me unimpressed.
Saddam fought Iran's million-man army to a standstill and conquered Kuwait. Likewise, Serbia defeated its Balkan enemies recently.
That Serbia and Iraq fell to U.S. super-power might is hardly a surprise, but the U.S. isn't going to be fighting Serbia this time around.
Moreover, Serbia is capable of projecting guerilla power further than was Iraq...and is more capable of a domestic IED campaign than are today's Iraqi insurgents.
Not that any of this matters to you, for some bizarre reason. You seem anxious for the next Balkan war...a very, very odd position to take for an "American."
And Kosovo is a city.
If it hadn't been for your hero, Bumbling Bill Clinton, your Jihadists would have been lost their land grab in Serbia.
But the story won't be over until Kosovo is fully Serbian again, and there's nothing you Dhimmis can do to change that.
current Kosovo negotiations as the "Final Status".
Our chief Dhimmi is hoping for a Final Solution to the Serbian Problem.
It's allways nice to see smart man's post.
