Landmark Legal Foundation Nominates Limbaugh Nobel Peace Prize

Landmark Legal Foundation has nominated syndicated radio Talk host Rush Limbaugh for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.

Limbaugh was nominated for the award for his "nearly two decades of tireless efforts to promote liberty, equality and opportunity for all humankind, regardless of race, creed, economic stratum or national origin. These are the only real cornerstones of just and lasting peace throughout the world," said Landmark President Mark R. Levin.

“Rush Limbaugh is the foremost advocate for freedom and democracy in the world today," explained Levin. "Everyday he gives voice to the values of democratic governance, individual opportunity and the just, equal application of the rule of law – and it is fitting that the Nobel Committee recognize the power of these ideals to build a truly peaceful world for future generations."

If Rush were to somehow win (absolutely IMPOSSIBLE, given the far left makeup of the Nobelites running that scam), I would love to see him do one of two things:

a.) refuse to accept it, saying that to accept an award from an organization which went out of it's way to give the same award to Jimmy Carter would be an affront to any sense of human decency, or:

b.) accept it, step to the podium and say "On behalf of the memory of the late President Ronald Wilson Reagan, who was instrumental in winning the Cold War, and securing freedom for the former Soviet satellite nations of Eastern Europe, I accept this award and will deliver it to former First Lady Nancy Reagan, to be displayed at the gravesite of our honored 40th President"

As much as I would enjoy (a), I would thoroughly enjoy (b) because those America-hating freaks would have a mass stroke and keel over.

Ahhhh, if we only lived in such a world where such things could happen. ;)

Al Gore must be furious! Still, Rush's chances of winning are zip, zero and nada. Heck, Liberals may even sue to remove his name from consideration for their prize.

Mark Levin nominated him to make a statement. This is why he is known as The Great One.

I think the mass stroke would occur when the news of Rush winning came out. The Reagan statement would serve to finish off any lefty survivors.

Why all the snickers? Rush has forgotten more about how government works than Jimmah and algore will ever know. Also, what's wrong with believing in a conservative for a change? The Norwegians have lost their way regarding what is right in this world...Don't forget, Quisling was a Norwegian!

Rush "don't want no stinkin' award" .....from a totally discredited group of elitist socialists.

Rush is in a league of his own.... the All American League...and we plan to keep him.

I think the statement will lie more in the reaction to the nomination, don't you? (As in, shocked gasps, fainting, chills and horrors for the Nobel Peace Prize People?)

Like your tagline.

In 1938, this man was nominated for the Nobel Peace prize. From that time on, the NPP nomination ceased being a meaningful honor.

What happened to the nomination process being secret? Nominees are not supposed to be named. Their identities are supposed to be sealed for 50 years.

I think this outing of nominees is a slap in the face to the Nobel process. Publicly outing your nomination should be grounds for retracting the privelege of nominating anyone.

Rush is going to milk this for all its worth, and I mean that in a good way. Of course every news station in the world will be introducing Al Gore a Noble Peace Prize nominees and Rush will say "Hey what about me?!?!". This is absolutely priceless.

I think this outing of nominees is a slap in the face to the Nobel process.

If ever there was a process that needed a good slap in the face, it is the one run by the socialist weenies who give "peace" awards to some of the biggest tyrants on earth.

The process is secret, and nominations are only made by the members of the Nobel Academy. This is a publicity stunt by Levin and Landmark, that's all.

Goodness... and nomination for an Academey Award AND the Nobel Peace Prize all at the same time. Algore must be giddy as a schoolgirl.

Personally I would not want to win. That would put Rush in with the biggest class of losers. Once they gave it to someone who did something for this world like Jonas Salk , and great men who meant something for Peace In the world. Now it is just a class of losers, big time losers at that.

Yes. Mark, a.k.a. the Great One, is a brilliant lawyer, legal commentator, author ("Men in Black") and radio talk-show host. His resume also includes having worked in the Reagan Administration. Tune in to his show some night--it's fabulous. You will be in awe of his genius.

The rules state (I looked them up) that any of the following people may nominate: (1) Members of international courts, (2) unversity rectors or chancellors, (3) members of national assemblies and governments of states, (4) directors of peace research institutes, professors of social science, history, philosophy, law and religion, (5) former winners of the award, and active members of the Nobel Committee.

Some interesting facts...Mahatma Gandhi never won the award although nominated five times (says alot about the Swedes). Marie Curies won twice (Physics in 1093 and Chemicstry in 1911). Otto Heinrich Warburg won the prize for medicine in 1931 and again in 1944...but was prohibited by the Nazis from accepting the award from a decree established in 1937 to prohibit all Germans from accepting Nobel Prizes...same year that Mr. Hitler was nominated and those dang Swedes refused to give him the peace prize.

For the liberal minded Swedes...it is a tool at their disposal to stick various governments....from Burma to the U.S. They are careful to pick only people that will cooperate and make the "finer points speech". Of course, CNN now carries this live to the world and does lengthly interviews (only on CNN international). Most of the world believes chatter and sees all of these peace prize winners as holier-than-thou types. The recent chatter of Jimmy Carter being racist....doesn't stick well...but hey, Jimmy already got his award.

As for Rush. If...and that is a long IF...he were to win...it would be like bringing Billy Graham into New Orleans at his peak. Billy would have preached to the crowd and given them the finer points of salvation. Rush would likely present the same speech...about freedom and liberty. In this case...since Rush knows he won't win...he should actually write the entire text of his acceptance speech...as boldy as he can....and give it to the public the day prior to the winner being announced. His points gained...will make the actual announcement appear foolish and disheartened. Al Gore's entire speech will have to dwell on Global Warming...and his legacy. The only question will be if his old buddy (Bill)...shows up in Oslo to shake Al's hand (my bet is no).
