You think that is bad...tomorrow, they have even more speakers...

Biden, Vilsak, and a couple of others that are running.

Starts at 9:00 AM on C-span.

Supposedly, Pres. Bush is also supposed to speak at this convention tomorrow...and then he and Pelosi are supposed to have a press conference afterward.

I have to say...after reading this column by Milbank...and presser with Bush and Pelosi together, has just got to be irony on top of irony, hilarious.

You are so right...unfortunately for Milbank...it couldn't be him...because he would have to be a butt of his own book.

Remember how he was the one that dressed up in the fluorescent hunting vest with the stupid hat...to go on Olbermann's show right after the Cheney hunting trip???

He embarrassed himself totally with that stupid trick.

Exactly, if the Democrats cannot hold their promise to speak for only seven minutes, then why would they be faithful in anything they do once they have the White House?

Reid, though not technically under the seven-minute rule, opened the proceedings with a poor example. After a 10-minute speech, Reid said "Thank you very much" and earned a lengthy standing ovation. But to the surprise of many in the hall, Reid remained at the lectern. "I want to talk a little bit about the West," he announced, rambling on for eight more minutes."

LOL! What a damned loser.

Anarchy among the RATS? Who'da thunk it? The sad part is that no matter how long they are allowed to blather and rabble-rouse, no RAT has ever had an original idea. If Karl Marx didn't already say it, it will never occur to them.

"After 10 minutes, wild gesticulations will take place," he threatened.
Screamin' Howie should find wild gesticulations pretty much second nature.

Obama, next up, was already two minutes over his time when he proclaimed, "We don't have time to be cynical." By 13 minutes, he seemed to have tired himself out, for he announced that candidates should put forward their Iraq plans in "clear, unambiguous, uncertain terms."

That's the Dems in a nutshell, UNCERTAIN.

Yup. Dana's schmoozed with the Antiquated Hippie Party (which only has ANY credibility via sympathetic Antiquated Hippie Editors) too much to have any lasting credibility. He's just going to have to ruefully read the New York Times bestseller list when the Reagan Generation writers come to the fore in a few years.

Dean couldn't cut off their mikes or drrown them out with loud music?

This was exacly my thought when I read the article. If Dean meant to be taken seriously, why did he allow the blather to go on and on and on...?

Democrats will pass mountains of laws WE must live by but they exempt themselves from having to play by ANY rules - even simple ones.

Omama's purpose is to get more people registered....guess which ones?

the New Mexicans (pun intended) will be registered by their Gov. Bill Richardson.

Watch for a Clinton/Richardson ticket. With Obama endorsing Hillary, that covers the North and Midwest. Richardson's crowd will bring in most of the West.

I propose another solution. Envision a timer controlled trap door. The speaker stands on the trap door and has a rope around his/her neck. At EXACTLY 7 minutes the speech will end - one way or another.

On a side note, I was always told the rules to public speaking were: be sincere, be brief, and be gone. They apparently broke all three.

"maybe he`s going to be the VP."

Not likely. Obama is a Christian. A real one. He also has morals.

That won't mix well with Hellory.

I am not impressed. Did anyone else notice Joe Biden wasn't present? Had he been there, he would have talked longer than the rest put together; he routinely generates enough hot air to float a balloon.

Of course, he'd have to go first, otherwise he'd plagiarize from all who spoke earlier.
