And what of other mixed race people (i.e. Asian/White), does it matter? Does one have to choose or self-identify with a race?

Because our racist society assumes any amount of black blood means the person is "black". We are all mixtures of races generally so its a crock. This is why indicating one's race on a census form is becoming more and more meaningless except to government bureacrats.

I really don't care about his race. I care about what he is looking to do if President. So far as I have listened to him, it is amazing how long it takes him to really say nothing. He has not taken a hard stand on anything but the war against the Islamofacsists. (he is not for it)
At this point I do not see any commitment to any policy.
When (IF) he is ever called to task for a REAL solid opinion, he may or may not get the nod he is looking for.

There is a lot of that in this thread... I'm tempted to go into who Hussein was and why the name is so common and to point out that there plenty of prejudiced Democrats so Obama will never actually get the nomination for President so we shouldn't waste time attacking him but instead should concentrate on getting a conservative nominated who will best represent conservative interests...
On the other hand, the thread really is funny and its Saturday night so what the heck....
