That is true. Remember? There has always been a certain number of sh*t heads in the Republican ranks. They always split--on immigration, the war, just everything common sense.

I am going to lead the effort in Central Florida to find a primary challenger to Keller that will beat him in 08.

Wow, I thought Central Florida was only a breeding ground for serial killers.....it also has crappy Congresspersons.

Alachua county is a sewer.

Representative Walter B. Jones of North Carolina

No surprise there. This guy has been off the reservation for years.

Didn't he co-sponsor an earlier cut-and-run resolution with Dennis Kucinich?

President Roosevelt did not ask for a Declaration of War for every country we bombed in Europe, Africa, and Asia. He got a Declaration of War against Japan and Germany and initiated a worldwide campaign to win.

President Bush should have received the same thing. Either we are fighting islamic terrorists or we are not. Asking Congress for a Declaration each step of the way invites Congress to micromanage the war. One Declaration of War that covers all countries around the world is what President Bush should have received.

Does anyone from NC know if Howard Coble and Walter Jones are original Tarheels? If they are they aren't standing up to the NC tradition of "sticking" to the ground. They make me ashamed to be from NC.

What's with Howard Coble? I have been in Va for years and have lost touch with NC politics.

I will agree that he has gotten some bad advice on several fronts concening Iraq and worse, he heeded that advice. He either: A) Had idiots advising him, or, B) Was sabatoged.

I believe B, what I don't know is why.

Maybe their constituencies feel this way.

Well if they do, the only 'conservative' thing to do would be to 'get' them next....People thinking on their own and changing their minds, what next...it could be a pandemic we need to stop it immediately....

True enough. But most of those nations we were bombing were our pre-war allies. The Declaration of war FDR asked for and received was two paragraphs and to the point expressing the interest of the United States and committing POTUS and both houses to it's cause. The Resolution of Authorization of force does not even mention it being a war. It bound POTUS and Congress to the war.

Bush as such did not want a Declaration of War as not having such was part of his not so bright advisers great so called plan. In that respect I would have to ask congress and POTUS as well what part of war do they not understand. Obvious the whole concept of it so it seems to be.

Bush is dragging us into an impossible military situation of rewarding the very nation we are supposed to be fighting. He is fooling himself and many Americans if he thinks there is going to be a lasting Democracy in Iraq and that task should not have been part of our military goal. That goal should have been bringing about the unconditional surrender and lack of will to fight by the nation of Iraq. That can only be done by an all out offensive. IOW Iraq should be fighting with rocks at this point. But by trying to nation build he has created a situation which allows other nations to become involved. If we had taken Iraq down in a WW2 like method or absolute reslove of defeat I don't think Iran would be so eager to test us.

As such I will not be writing letters to Duncan nor Ron Paul blasting them as Ron Paul was one of the few who actually asked for the Declaration of War. I live next door to Duncan's district literally and Duncan supports his troops who went to Iraq. I do not doubt his support one bit. Before people go firing off letters of How Dare you to long time conservatives maybe they ought to look at their reasoning. It's not anti-war.

I watched Keller's speech on hiw website. He was making some sense all the way up till he said he supported implementing the findings of the "Bipartisan Iraq Study Group".

I really didn't think he was that ignorant.

I'm the constituent of one of these Congresscritters. He does a better job of representing the 41% in the district who did not vote for him.

Maybe I have to stop voting for him to get some representation too.

I walked out on a speech given by by Coble at the annual Reagan Day dinner two years ago. He has never been a supporter of the war. It was very apparent that night.
I told the county party chairman why I left too.

Brownback is a Senator, not a Representative.

By the by...aren't there any democrats from conservative areas who are against the resolution?
