But many countries are getting tired of [the UN] paying to police places like East Timor, that never seem able to care for themselves.

You know, there are times when things just need to be cleared out and no amount of external pressure is going to change that. East Timor is a case in point and, to me, maybe we should just let Lebanon and Israel duke it out. If Syria and Iran attempt to jump into the fray, maybe we should send those two countries an email or two telling them that, if they interfere, they might find their country turned into a glass parking lot because of the "heat" we'd put on them. (Man...talk about a non-PC point of view.)
