Bush still has control of the situation, and can maintain control of he handles this right. Barnes is absolutely right. Bush should be on the defenseive in this, instead the President has the House and Senate Democrats back on their heals and in reactive mode, rather than proactive. Goooooooooooo Dubya!!

The Bush statement prompted House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer to rush before the media and declare: "We will not abandon, we will not underman, not undersupply, we will not undertrain, and we will not defund those who we have put in harm's way. We will support our troops today, tomorrow, and every day thereafter."Hoyer must have missed the memo from Murtha that declares the dems plan to do exactly that: abandon, underman, undersupply, undertrain, and eventually defund. Not to mention demoralize and denigrate. And they think no one will notice.

The democrats are much less powerful than they, their liberal media, their lunatic left wing base, and some knee jerks conservatives think they are. The democrats are good at throwing bones to their delusional supporters with no meat it. They yell and scream, they threaten and boast about what they can do but at the end they have very little power to do anything meaningless, fortunately. These traitors and defeatists are so impotent and weak, fortunately, that they cannot pass a non binding defeatist resolution in the Senate to stop the President plan for victory.
Our side should always remind these traitors and defeatists how weak and impotent they are, because nothing more will demoralize these delusional hate filled people than to be reminded constantly of the bitter reality of their weakness and impotence.

Time to stick it to the Democrats.
Bush can continue the war on terror, solidify his tax cuts, and reform the judiciary. Not a lame duck by a long shot.
