FROZEN OLDIES, GRUMPY MOONBATS: Week 60 - Olney,MD, 2-17-07: Operation Infinite FReep
Feb. 21,2007 | Trooprally

Posted on 02/21/2007 5:08:26 PM PST by trooprally

There is no way to make this AAR better than last Friday's Walter Reed Report where the troop bus stopped at our corners before going into WR. The only thing exciting that we have is the moonbats slipping on the snow ice pack.

Thursday afternoon I scouted out our corner. A tractor had pushed much of the slushy snow off the walk on Wednesday. But by now, any snow pack remaining was frozen solid. Daytime temps had not risen above 25, with night time temps in the low teens. So I spread a good layer of salt so it can work its magic by Saturday morning. And it worked. The snow pack easily was shoveled up when we got there.

FReepers and Lurkers there this cold morning were: Apple Blossom, Cindy-True_Supporter (CTS), Fraxinus, iMacMan, (iMM) Lurker Bill (aka Lurker Bill from MD on Walter Reed AARs), [Mrs] Trooprally, ([Mrs] T) and myself. There were 7 moonbats. Peek-A-Boo once again showed up late.

Pics are by iMacMan and [Mrs] T. Once again, time does not permit me to identify who took what pics. I'm in the middle of painting a room.

BELOW LEFT:iMacMan and me setting up our right flank flag. Keep wondering when the moonbats will sport a flag since they say they support the troops. BELOW RIGHT:Since the snow pack was on the hill we didn't put up all the banner. Just too difficult to get ones footing. So we put up the blue banner using the WR MOAB supports. This banner was given to our group last summer by an Iraqi Vet. Lurker Bill is in the back ground, with Apple Blossom and [Mrs] T, taking a pic of iMacMan.

BELOW LEFT:Lurker Bill BELOW RIGHT: CTS

BELOW LEFT:Ever smiling Apple Blossom. No grumpies on our side!! BELOW RIGHT: Me, Fraxinus and [Mrs] T.

BELOW: Me and iMacMan. Flags unfurled and sidewalk looking good.

AND THE MOONBATS WERE THERE. They were like frozen fish, not moving while standing on the ice pack. The slightest movement would have sent them into the road. One more reason for being so grumpy.

BELOW LEFT: First two grumpies not wanting to move. "Whadda do we do now, whadda we do now?" BELOW RIGHT: "And why are we out here?"

BELOW LEFT: Two grumpies down the road. They stayed there for a while before one left. BELOW RIGHT: The other, slipping on the pile of ice pack, slowly made her way over to the others. One other moonbat slipped but no pics. All seemed to be okay.

BELOW:Moonbat on her way over to the others once she got over the mound of ice.

But enough of the grumpy moonbats. This week with the overcast, iMacMan's pics are better than ever. So I'm posting all of them.

RE: Olney FReep -

If you live in northern VA and want a short cut to Olney See Post 39 Here. It's an easy 20 minute drive from the American Legion Bridge.

A special Thanks to a FReeper FRiend for enhancing the original plain type directions.

The Archive of Olney FReeps is here or in the LINKS section of Trooprally's ABOUT Page.

Olney Needs Your Help On March 17. As of now only one FReeper plans to be at Olney on Saturday the 17. The others will be down in D.C. with the big Protect the Vietnam Wall Rally there. If you are not attending the D.C. Rally and can help in Olney, please FReepmail me. We are also checking on some locals to be there.

For the Jan. 27 Rally in D.C., all the moonbats deserted their corner and we were unopposed. We're hoping for the same, but we don't want to leave our corner vacant.

Also, if you plan to be in D.C. on March 17, please let Just A Nobody know. She is assuming a lot of you will be there, but unless you contact her, we cannot count you. We need a near definite number for planning purposes, you know, for the MOAB, props and signs. The more the merrier.

Justa's latest UPDATE.

Our permitted FReep position will be in close proximity of the Vietnam Wall, so you can be in two places at one time. It is also along the moonbats march route.

March 17 pdf fliers are available. Please print them and hand them out. If you want something to hang on a bulletin board, just print out Page 2. Or use this great single sided flyer by WO4Man.

Protecting the WWII and Korean War Memorials is also in the mix. If the moonbats can't vandalise the Wall, they may go else where. The Wall though is primary since the idiot moonbats started hating America during the Vietnam era. They also want to use the Wall as their back drop.

Also, some more real great pics by iMacMan.

You are on the Olney ping list. If you want off or on this list, please FReepmail us.

What a wonderful example of leftie versus conservative values.

You took salt and shovels to the snow/ice. The moonbats expected "someone else" to do it.

The one Moonbat with the yield sign obviously went to the anti-war rally in January. ANSWER was passing those out by the hundreds.

We even had a stand for one of the banners since pounding spikes into the ground was not an option. The Trooprally's think of everything!

That must be why the bidet was invented. :-))

Yea they were carrying those. The moonbats corner in Olney was empty that day.

Some day a conservative fat cat will help underwrite our Support the Troops Rallies. Of course, if we had more FReepers showing up, maybe they would.

Thank you Washington D.C. Area Freepers, I appreciate what you do for all of us. We had Hillary here Tuesday, but no one seemed to give a darn. Keep up the good work, and watch out for the ice.
