I still think that France will end up helping Russia and China attack us.

Track Bill and Hill. If they are in or near NYC, all is safe.
= = =

I still think we must have enough FREEPERS close to enough puppet masters to be able to have at least some sort of sanitized barometer of where such folks are in terms of in the big cities or have they all fled at the same time and to where.

But have never been able to get such a collection of covert reporting set up.

I do not believe that New York City is going to make it through the WOT.

I think you are quite right.

I keep wondering just how much time the mullahs in Tehran would have to cook up attack plans if we kept them busy with constant clandestine attacks on the upper echelons of the Iranian government, assassinations of top Iranian officials and blowing up their government buildings with car bombs like Iranian agents have already been doing in Iraq.

After all, what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

The Saudi regime crumbling NY blowing up in her face will be the greatest Presidential embarrassment ever. All of the fruit of Clinton's terrible foreign policy is going to fall back in their faces for everyone to see.

The question is - how will Republicans and the military respond after such an incident? Some commanders have already voiced that the Constitution would be in danger in such a scenario.

You've connected the dots beautifully. When one reads through your list, reality smacks you in the face -- and all of that in just the past week. When do you think the bombs will start in Iran?

INDEED.

I speculate reluctantly . . . given a number of--qutie a number of published stories over the last several years . . .

1. Some level of folks either have discerned the wind above them or know emphatically that the martial law thing is scheduled by the globalists.

2. That the Constitution WILL BE ESSENTIALLY SHREDDED/set aside/trashed/ignored.

3. That they are planning on such a massive amount of enginerred, calculated chaos that no one will significantly complain or protest and most all will see it as essential for the minimal functioning of daily life.

4. And of course, the MSM will be trumpeting the Party line to the letter.

- - - -

Where will the 30% liberal idiots be in all this?

Where will the 30% true patriots [other than already awake FREEPERS] be? How quickly will they decide things are more serious than they had wanted to believe?

What will the middle of the roaders do?

And how quickly will the globalists in charge of the martial law move against the true patriots?

I just hope we can keep FR up and running as long as absolutely possible. And I hope that FREEPERS in the same locales are connected enough to help one another as much as fitting.

In any case . . . prayer is going to be a survival habit more, even than it already is.

imho.

Thanks for the kind words.

I don't like to predict when.

We are obviously waking for a critical incident/mistake on the part of the Iranian whackjobs.

The Japanese were in a similiar situation in 1941. We know what happened after December 7, 1941.

This is similiar to the Cuban crisis in 1962, and Russia backed away and refused to let the crazy Castro be in control. If sanity takes over in Iran and disposes of the whack jobs, we will have the end of terror sponsored, created and directed by the Iranian whackjobs.

i MOSTLY think that the Iranians are merely the forward point idiots in the terrorizing enterprise of the globalists.

Who knows. They are about to become the lost/former forward point if they are.

Part of me hopes you're right.

A bigger part of me isn't ready for WWIII/IV whatever.

But appeasement never works.

the post to which I replied, in its entirety:

The American populace would be vigorous and willing to take part in the sacrifices necessary to fight and win a war if the administration made the case for civilan sacrifice like a war tax, compulsory military service, increased manufacturing for military equipment, repeal the tax cut gift to those who don't need it, and palce the nation on a war footing. As a retired three star general said recently: ''The United States is not at war, the Army and the Marine Corps are at war, but no one else.'' Meanwhile, the president and DoD have cut production funds for basic ground-pounder equipment, emplaced a rotation policy for the few troops we have there that is counter-productive and has never yet employed tough actions to accompany his often tough, but empty, rhetoric. It's not the American people who bear the weight of the fault here, it's the incompetent in the White House.

You speak of substantive statements, so let's discuss a couple of them for a moment. First, just what would constitute a "war tax"? Is it merely an increase in the primary tax method of the U.S (the income tax)? Is it a surcharge on basic goods and services? The term "war tax" is so nebulous as to be meaningless.

Second, compulsory military service is an absolute red herring. The draft, with its historical connotations, would be counterproductive with respect to garnering support of the public for the simple reason that the media and the democrats would pillory the war for the indiscriminate killing of conscripted young men.

Third, increasing manufacturing of military equipment would indeed be a beneficial step for the military. The President, however, cannot unilaterally change the DOD procurements. Neither can the DOD, as a matter of fact. Only the successful herding of congressional cats can make this change.

Fourth, who gets to decide who "needs" their tax cut? Why is it acceptable to punish those who make enough money to be taxed heavily according to the marginal tax rates? Because they have "enough"? Again, under whose definitions?

Fifth (and last), how does one place a nation on a war footing against a semi-defined enemy? There is a fine line that is being walked here. If we declare a war against all muslims, we must be ready and willing to exterminate that faith entirely by exterminating its adherents. While this may be a basis for sloganism, it is hardly a realistic view of the American people at large. Many, if not most, Americans are willing to tolerate people with bad ideas, provided that they do not act upon those ideas. Again, the problem is with the question "Who gets to decide what is 'bad'".

This does not mean that a "politically correct" war strategy is winnable. To the extent that the administration has pursued such strategies, they have not worked - for obvious reasons. But to claim that a complete "war footing" is necessary (albeit undefined) is not credible.

I do agree with your point that the administration has failed to undergird our war effort with enthusiatic support of the majority of people. In part, this reflects a lack of serious rhetoric aimed at Americans themselves. In larger part, however, I believe it is a manifestation of the self-assumed power of the media and the disloyal opposition. How to break this stranglehold is a matter for some debate, to be sure.

So, I pose the question again...

How is it that a reduction in the amount of money taken away from those who earn it is a "gift"?

Care to address the question this time?

Remember, we have Ward Churchill types who will blame the US for any terrorist attacks by Muslim countries.

No, not really. Writing a thesis here is not something in which I choose to engage now. Our brief comments state our respective positions and I'll let them speak for themselves.
