Geesh...how do I get into this racket?? Hey, Al, I've got some carbon credits I'll sell ya! It's a steal at only $1000.00/credit.
I am like you. I will go green when the economics make sense and the lecturers start leading by example.
I am very interested in solar heating. Heating our homes and hot water accounts for 70% of our energy consumption.
I would like to change my central air unit to a more efficient one, but because of changes in how the new units utilize electricity, I will have to have considerable wiring upgrades to handle the load according to an electrician friend. And my house is not that old.
Algore = chicka little, the sky is warming the sky is warming!
TVA produces about 30% of its power from hydroelectric sources. The remainder is coal and nuclear.
I have had very little respect for Al Gore for a loooooooong time, but even I am still shocked at the transparent hypocrisy of this man.
Money=Power to the DemocRAT's always makes them superior to everyone else.
"Money/Power only makes a person more of what they already are".

He is one sick looking dude.
You have to spend a few inconvenient megawatts to get all that hot air out.
I question, 'dude'.

Even if it is totally green, the more green energy he uses, the less there is for others to use, requiring more CO2 producing electricity to supply the rest of us folks.
As long as "green electricity" is a limited amount, then cO2 producing electricity must make up the rest. So less energy use, whether green or not, will decrease the total CO2 output.
(not that I am a global warming advocate, just pointing out the hole in Gore's argument)
