I stand ready to be convinced otherwise, but I seem to reall a general floating statement about "6 alien murders per day" which would multiply to about the number claimed, but I don't see any support for it. Sources, anyone?
Someone should point you to the congressional record. I don't have a link but according to serveral members of congress the number is higher than 6.
Any Democrat on the Hill can tell you how many are dying in Iraq, but they ignore how many are dying in America of the Spanish speaking gang related murders.
Funny, lettuce isn't low-priced here in AR. Going through checkout the other day, I was watching the prices on the items on the screen and had the checker stop to put back one bosc pear ($1.16) and one onion ($.78). Not to mention our Wal-Mart sells one green peper (and not necessarily fresh) for $.78. What's up?

He sure has been no d@mn help to us thats for sure. I just do not understand why nobody in this govt seems to understand what most Americans want. It makes my blood boil! Build the wall and if they want to come in then let them come in the way our grandparents etc did. If I hear one more time they are doing the jobs Americans don't want I will scream. They are taking away almost all the building jobs where I live. Young adults can't get summer jobs anymore because the illegals are taking them away. And not just the Mexicans either. What a mess all of this is! We are being sold down the river by our elected govt! ~P~
Our border is wide open with drugs coming across every day but.............I went to the pharmacy last night to buy some cold medicine and had to ask for it since the good stuff is behind the pharmacy counter. The gal asked for my drivers license and input all info off of it into the computer. Sheesh was I mad!

Also in the DC area there have been many killings and rapes by illegal aliens and gangs such as MS13 and various Asian gangs have established themselves.

If you read it, it is based entirely on assuming that each illegal alien here has a propensity to murder equal to the averge murder rate in his/her home country. That's it. Nothing more or less. Which is a pretty preposterous way to try to get a figure. I have no doubt that illegals commit murders. A lot of murders. But 100 is a lot, and so is 4,000. If you want to know where the truth lies in between, this "study" won't do it.

from a DOJ report (linked from Vdare.com, which is definitely not pro-immigrant), showng that about 18% of the people in jail for murder nationwide are Hispanic. That seems to be a hard number. From there, you can make your own assumptions.
Mine would be that the best figures are that maybe 1/3 of hispanics in this country are illegal (10 million out of 30 million). A pro-immigrant study recently showed that native born hispanics commited crimes at a higher rate than immigrants, legal or illegal. The study was criticized by opponent, but not on this point. In fact, the critics mostly argued that it shows the deleterious long-term effects of current immigration policies, as immigrant groups get worse, not better, over time, as was the case with earlier groups. So -- take your pick. But if we split the difference and say illegals murder at same rate as native hispanics, we get 6% of all murders, or about 1,000. That's a lot. But I think it is a better start at a methodology than the original post.
I don't care about studying numbers here in regards to this issue.
If there was only one murder committed by an illegal alien, it was one too many!!
And that one murder alone should be enough to get our worthless politicians working hard to correct the open border problem.
But I am surely no holding my breath waiting for that to happen.
