Illegals Found Working in State Buildings
JEFFERSON CITY - A federal raid discovered cleaning crew
members who clean state-owned buildings are illegally
working in the country.
(snip)
Gov. Blunt signed an order to terminate contracts with Sam's
Janitorial and is requiring immigration checks on new contractor
employees. Sam's Janitorial will join at least 6 other cleaning
and janitorial services who have had their contracts terminated
since 1998.

Just a bit of news from flyover country; don't expect this will
get much MSM news coverage.

Thanks for the comment.
It was interesting to see the Sam's janitors do the "perp-walk" on
TV tonight. And nice to see a governor (Gov. Blunt) actually act
in a manner reflecting some sort of respect for "the rule of law".

It would be interesting to follow this case to see how long before a) Blunt is called a racist, b) the aclu files a lawsuit and c) a union get involved.
It boggles my mind that so many Americans are willing to allow this invasion to continue.

Let's not forget---they just come here to "seek a better life." Translated into English that means they live better, and we pay all their bills. We need to check and see how many relatives this fraud and her husband snuck across the border. And using her trusty computer, how many relatives she fraudulently enrolled in state pension plans, Social Security, unemployment, diability, welfare, food stamps, health care, and other gov't gravy trains. The US government fraud perpetrated by these border types is mind-boggling.....just never ends. Welcome to the Third World. Read on:
Ex-judiciary clerk pleads guilty to falsifying records to avoid paying judgment
A former judiciary clerk for the State of New Jersey pleaded guilty to official misconduct for using her access to state computers to falsify court records in an attempt to avoid paying a judgment filed against her and her husband.
Barbara Nieves, 37, of Browns Mills, pleaded guilty to third-degree official misconduct. This court employee exploited the public trust placed in her by fraudulently altering court records to avoid paying a judgment.....To make matters worse, that judgment arose from a prior act of fraud she and her husband committed.
Nieves admitted that on Feb. 21 and March 19, 2003, while working as a judiciary clerk at the Ocean County Courthouse, she entered the computer record system of the Administrative Office of the Courts to alter court records related to the judgment to make it appear that it was paid off.
Nieves and her husband pleaded guilty to welfare fraud in 1995 and were ordered to pay $3,485 in restitution to the Burlington County Board of Social Services. There was a $3,300 unpaid balance on the judgment when Nieves altered the court records. It was determined that Nieves altered two documents to indicate the judgment was satisfied, and subsequently deleted one document from the database.
Nieves worked as a clerk for the state courts from 2002 to 2006, when she was suspended without pay for allegedly falsifying her employment application. She subsequently agreed to be terminated and to be barred from future employment with the New Jersey Judiciary.

It was on our news last night in MO. I hope someday Matt Blunt will be President, he's young yet and has time but he's been an excellent governor. I've agreed with almost every thing he's done.

This also comes from the state that doesn't want you to show an ID when you go vote. How many ILLEGALS get to vote in Missouri?

Well technically that is correct, however, when I voted, they asked for my ID. :) Don't know how they got away with it but then again, I'm in a more rural area than KC or St. Louis. We have lots of illegals here so it pleased me to be asked for ID.

It would be interesting to follow this case to see how long before
a) Blunt is called a racist,
b) the aclu files a lawsuit and
c) a union get involved.
On topic a), I'm sure Blunt is being called racist and worse especially,
by the liberals in KC, St. Louis and here in Columbia (home of
U. Missouri and Walter Cronkite's alma mater journalism school)
but suprisingly that doesn't seem to get press here. IIRC, the
TV station that had this report is affilitated with that journalism
school and they gave an even-handed report of this chapter in
the invasion of the USA.
(of course, they may have reported to help give the liberal nutburgers
some "opposition research", i.e., telling them what the EEEVVVIIILLL
Gov. Blunt is doing.)
On topic b), I've been suprised at how mute the ACLU (and
fellow-travelers) have been on illegal immigration here.
I suspect they've taken a "termite" approach...hoping to get
enough fellow-travelers quietly into positions of power and then
drop the hammer and declare Missouri a "sanctuary state" like
California.
On topic c): as cynical as I can be about unions (and their corrosive
effects and part in the closure of domestic auto plants in St. Louis
and KC), the unions in Missouri don't seem to be following the
suicide plans of unions in California.
(Some unions in CA are big illegal immigration supporters even
though some of their members clearly see that more illegals mean
more competition for jobs with low-price illegal labor)

That's my general appraisal as well.
He's sure a breath of fresh air after my time in California
(1995-2005).
And with the flood of illegals into Mid-Missouri in 2006 (to do
contract roofing after our March hailstorm), we need Blunt to
keep on doing the right thing.
