The above is a summary of this article. I believe the most important fact is that Emergency Medicaid Services represent less than 1% of all Medicaid costs. A secondary important finding is that most of the costs are due to pregnancy.
Political correctness requires the term "undocumented Immigrants" instead of "illegal aliens." Further, as usual, everyone besides "Hispanics" are classified as to race or ethnic/national origion but somehow we classify these folks by their language.

Childbirth and its complications accounted for 82% of the Emergency Medicaid Service expenditures and 92% of all hospitalizations. Over the four years seniors and the disabled, however, had increased costs. And now all those families are eligible for other welfare because they now have US Citizen children. 'Jackpot babies' as Terry Anderson calls them.
And this is North Carolina? Think of the costs along the border. North Carolinians should have listened to Californians a long time ago.

About 48 thousand individuals received care under emergency Medicaid services. 99% of the population was "undocumented" and 93% were Hispanic.
Those are some really damning statistics. So 99% of 48 thousand were illegal aliens.

They are illegal aliens and criminals, most of them posing a great danger for the future of this country. Their sense of entitlement borders is similar to that of sociopaths, many refusing to learn the language and demanding services in their native language. Hardly any of the will improve our gene pool.
BTW, I read somewhere - don't know if it true - but to gain residence in the Bahamas, you have to buy a house worth half a million dollars. Something for us to consider.

I guess when it was only CA and a few other border states that had this problem thirty years ago it wasn't much of a a problem.

Still, that's only about $28.00/week per patient; just wait until they all start school.

About 48 thousand individuals received care... Only 48,000?
Judging from the numbers of illegal aliens undocumented immigrants swarming the streets of my county, most of those 48,000 must come from here.

99% of that money going to non-citizens. Pathetic. Any illegal who shows up needing urgent care should receive the care only if it is a lifethreatening situation and should be released into a police cruiser for deportation. Illegals have become a plague on North Carolina. They ruin schools, they suck up tax dollars, and they spread drugs and crime. We have half a million of them in our state now and i'm sick of it.
