Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) chairs a House Oversight and Government Reform Ctme. hearing on the disclosure of CIA Agent Valerie Plame Wilson's identity. The hearing will look into whether White House officials followed appropriate procedures for safeguarding the identity of Ms. Wilson.

Bah, I know that I am being repetitive..but, can you believe that the GOP House members didn't even show up?
They obviously asked for Toensing to be there...but, didn't take advantage of her appearance to set any records straight??
Maybe I am being my normal over reactive self...but, this makes me terribly frightened...makes me wonder if the House Republicans would put up any fight of an impeachment attempt by the dems.

My jaw is still on the ground over Waxman's treatment of VT and bascially calling her a liar
They can let her TALK.
She has the facts, something the rest of them aren't familiar with!
When Waxman would interrupt VT he would ask her how/where she knew this and she said in the Liddy trial testimony.
I think a list was posted earlier in this thread...of all of the members...Rep. and Dem of that committee.
We should all get it and call the GOP members and ask why they didn't bother to show up.

Sorry. I misspoke in two ways.
You have the right column. And it was two days after Novak's column of course.
But the point is Corn was the first to publish Plame's actual name -- and that she was "covert."
That would be the definition of a "draw".

I was so angry while watching that..that I did get angry and yell at my granddaughter over something that I normally never would.
Thankfully, she ignored me....LOL
I think Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC) is on that committee. 'Think I'll call his office and get his "excuse" for not representing US.

I guess they have not recognized that the plan includes taking the whole Republican party down, not just the Bush Administration. Maybe they will catch on and start showing up for work. *sigh* :(
Does anyone have a copy of the transcript of her comments regarding how she was asked to recommend her husband by an underling?
Am I wrong in recalling that she said the person worked a few cubicles away from her? And how do you not recall who it was who recommended your husband for a trip that you didn't want him to take?
I really do hope that is a rhetorical question
