Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) chairs a House Oversight and Government Reform Ctme. hearing on the disclosure of CIA Agent Valerie Plame Wilson's identity. The hearing will look into whether White House officials followed appropriate procedures for safeguarding the identity of Ms. Wilson.

The operative word is "WAS". Yes she WAS a covert agent. She WAS a teenager too. She isn't now.

She just now said that even though she wasn't in the field she was still covert. This after saying she traveled overseas within the past 5 years. But she said she and joe discussed her going back in the field AFTER the children got older.

She is making no sense

I didn't get up until late this morning and turned on Fox about a half hour ago. I'm surprised she is under oath as she's made some obvious false statements, and she's been pretty sketchy in many of her responses. The tale of her husband throwing the paper down on the bed and saying to her: "Well, he did it," was obviously made up and phoney. I find the lack of emotion in her statement, or her responses to be very telling.

Seems I heard someone say that the committee's information on her status came from Hayden himself.

That won't matter to the legions here who know more about what she was doing than the CIA itself knew.

If the Republicans screw this one up, it proves their actions were justified. Next time, choose a stronger party.
