I like Rush, but he's out of line when he starts going off about who is or isn't to be considered a "Republican," as he was doing on his show today. If he want's to cricicize Arnold, that's fine. But don't be going on with this "he's not a Republican" spiel. I mean, if Joe Lieberman crossed over the aisle, he'd be a "Republican," whether Rush liked it or not.

Sometimes the pompousness just wears too thin.

Lieberman would be a Bloomberg "Republican" anyway.

Rush didn't say Arnold wasn't a Republican, he said Arnold wasn't a conservative. What he was getting at is that Rush didn't want the definition of a conservative being dumbed down to fit Arnold's or Rudy's brand of politics.

upsdriver in Post #30 has it right. Rush said Ahnold, whatever his party affiliation, isn't a conservative. And, Rush is right.

Being a Republican is one thing, but give me a conservative any day of the week who has the courage of his convictions.

Arnold wimped out, plain and simple!

Wake up you idiots. Rush didn't say Arnold was not a Republican, in fact he said he WAS a Republican but that he wasn't a conservative. Do you people actually read before you spout off!!! I if you listened to Rush you would know what was going on. Evidently you don't (so you don't) Not trying to offend you but don't care if you think I did.

The 'Republican' badge isn't what they're after.

he says that Arnold is a nominal Republican. Relax: the Party is not like a church. Arnold is just a typical politician: he will says what he needs to get re"elected.

Rush is a conservative and espouses conservative principles and not Liberal Republican causes. He has always spoken out and critized the RINO element.

Rush has more common sense and educates the public about the issues better than you have.

Schwarzenegger is a sellout, but not much was really expected from him.

Joe Leiberman has remained true to his Democrat party roots. If he crossed over the aisle he would INDEED be a Republican and he would be announcing it to the world. I don't imagine Rush would care one way or another. Arnold can't have it both ways. I like Arnold. Just liked him better in movies.

Also, you misunderstand Rush's pompousness...THAT part IS entertaining. You need to look beneath what he says.
