Whatever happened to the "positive approach"?

Isn't that a Rodney King quote?

Oh i know that. I was asking if he reflected the values of the leadership of his niche when he went to a male hooker for massages, and 'fun.'

Rush isn't running for president. Besides, I'm not defending the rationalization of the baptists. They can vote how they see fit. I'm just bringing the news to ya'll.

Did Haggard reflect the leadership of his large denomination?

No. Frankly, I've been very pleasantly surprised at the leadership's handling of Haggard's discipline.

No, we should convince them we are right. If we fail, we lose, and compromise more with what they want.

Yeah, demonstrating quite publicly that you are committing adultery is funny that way.

Did I say I agreed with the baptists rationale. My ratioanle for not supporting Rudy is that he's a liberal. I don't care if he has a harem.

We should not be held hostage to what we believe in -- or something like that.

Hopefully voters will think for themselves, not have some self righteous pomposity tell them how to think.

I'm sure King George would agree with you.

All I know is he thought homosexuality was a grave sin, but liked getting nude with a hunky guy now and then. Well, there you go.

The Church says he is NOT a Catholic. Any Catholic who supports abortion has excommunicated himself. I don't remember the proper term, as I am not Catholic.

"$7000 in campaign contributions over several years is peanuts"

I don't know why you pulled the $7000 number out to post, when the article clearly ALSO states:

"Between 1992 and 1997, Audre employees and family members donated $77,000 to members of Congress.Rep. Duncan Hunter"

It is clear to me that Hunter is the typical politico; accepting contributions of large proportions, through various screened contributors to funnel them, and rewarding specific donrs with millions in contracts.

I don't know where Fred Thompson has done the same....

Was Faggard a baptist?

..no, not that it really matters--a lousy hypocrite can be any flavor

He pastored what appears to be an independent Charismatic church in Colorado Springs, which, doctrinally, seems fairly sound

But Haggard wasn't

Quit jumping to conclusions! Just because he liked having sex with other men doesn't make him gay!

No...I just get tired of trashing people. Once they are exposed, that's it. No need to drag their bodies thru the streets.

I, personally believe the Rudy and McCain have been force-fed to us by the media and either one could easily turn on us in a "New York Minute". Either one could very easily be a liberal "mole" in our midst....not a pleasant thought but I can't dismiss it.

What is needed is positive effort and support for the "good guys", whomever you perceive them to be.

A little campaign help for them would be a hundred-fold more effective than trashing the "other guys" on this forum.

Those are NOT all votes on ILLEGAL immigration. Many are on LEGAL immigration.
