3 TIMES A LADY; RUDY RUSHES TO JUDI'S DEFENSE (but did Judi come clean about children?)
NY POST ^ | March 24, 2007 | DAVID FINNIGAN, ERIC LENKOWITZ and TODD VENEZIA

Rudy Giuliani said his wife, Judith, came clean as soon as they met about her secret first husband - and insisted that the revelation would not hurt his chances of becoming president.....The first lady-wannabe dropped the matrimonial bombshell this week, by revealing publicly for the first time in an interview with The Post that she had been married before meeting "America's mayor" not once, but twice. She wed her hitherto-unknown first husband Jeffery Scott Ross in a whirlwind Las Vegas ceremony in 1974. The couple divorced in 1979 - just a few months before she wed Bruce Nathan, with whom she had a daughter, Whitney.....The Giulianis have six marriages between them, including the former mayor's first marriage, to second cousin Regina Peruggi, in 1968 and his wedding to TV personality Donna Hanover, the mother of his two children, in 1984.

"Maybe their marriage should not be counted twice."

Eventually, maybe they will make the rounds and remarry.

"I believe that someone's personal life to a large extent reflects their judgment on matters."

Agreed. Character is the most important trait in a presdident. I thought we had all learned our lesson on Bill Clinton, but apparently the Rudybots like the candidates with loose morals.

Great post. Trouble is, we have many here that have to work out their own issues before they can come up to your 'common sense' level.

Bill Clinton's problem did not rest w/Monica - it was the 'least' thing they dare get him on.

He was only married one time. What is interesting in that?

Having loose morals is not limited to sexual indiscretions such as Monica. It includes selling secrets to China, committing perjury, using government resources for personal gain and/or protection (IRS, FBI files, etc.)

A person who lies and cheats on a spouse would lie and cheat about anything else, including the office of the Presidency.

If I wanted a marriage expert for president, I'd vote for Dr. Laura.

Sorry Hildy but she would not be acceptable either as she has a divorce in her past too. lol. What can you do? This is just too funny though. Must have humor on these Rudy threads.

"I think most people can relate to this kind of thing happening in your life. "

Uh- no. I have had the same husband for over 25 years and he's the only one I have ever had. I am the only wife he has ever had also.
Our parents and grandparents were all married to the same people until death parted them.
So sorry, Rudy, I can't relate.

Your posting header is incorrect.
The Post article said nothing about children.
Nathan was 19 when she got married-divorced at 24 .
ABC , the NYT and other media outlets referred to 21 yr old Andrew Giuliani and his 17 yr old sister as " children ."
By that standard, Mrs Giuliani would have been a child when she married.
I have never based my vote on what a candidate's wife did when she was a teenager.

AMEN!! My current boss, and the best one I've ever had in 25 years, has been married 3 times. She runs a very good business, and her employee turnover is practically nil even though there's nothing spectacular about her pay rates and there are no perqs. She's consistent and fair, which is why people stay.

I want to know how many commandments "Liz" has broken through the years. Unless she's the Second Coming, I doubt her slate is clean.

Do you know of ONE person that does not lie? or does not cheat...on anything?

Seems like what the 'other person' does is ALWAYS worse than we could/would ever do!

Beautiful.

I really want to know how pure all the sanctimonious anti-Rudy folk are. Do they hold some sins worse then others? Do they tally them a la Father Guido Sarducci (Don Novello) in the classic SNL routine?

(quote) Life is a job. You get $14.50 a day, but after you die, you have to pay for your sins. Stealing a hub cap is around $100. Masturbation is 35 cents (it doesn't seem like much, but .35, 35., .35, .35.... it adds up). If there's money left when you subtract what you owe from what you've earned, you can go to heaven. If not, you have to go back to work. (Sort of like reincarnation -- many nuns are Mafia guys working it off.) (unquote)

Who decides if someone is not 'conservative' enough for the 11th commandment to apply? You?

That is the essence of our system and the secret ballot, sorry to hear you don't believe in it.

You cannot advance conservatism by losing. The idea that moral purity (which I assume you think you possess) will win in the end is simply a delusion. Only the winners win in the end.

If Rudy is a leftist, why is he so greatly hated by NYC leftists? As they say in the Mid-East, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".

These politicians like Rudy all live in an unreal quasi-celebrity world. Conservatives certainly will be upset about the serial marriages between these two especially when we have GOP candidates running for President who have been married only once or not married at all.

"If Rudy is a leftist, why is he so greatly hated by NYC leftists?"

Who cares about NYC leftists, and what does this have to do with Rudy's horrible record vis a vis conservative doctrine?

Rudy is a bust, with or without his marriage problems.

Anyone who can know a woman since childhood and be married to her for 14 years, without knowing she's his second cousin, it's not smart or inquisitive enough to be president.

You cannot advance conservatism by abandoning it.

If Rudy is a leftist, why is he so greatly hated by NYC leftists? As they say in the Mid-East, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".

Because he's not a Marxist. In Giuliani's case the enemy of my enemy is my friend as mayor of NYC, not president of the U.S.
