At Nev. Forum, Democrats, Style and Health Care [Warning: Hillary wants your money]
Politico/Las Vegas Sun ^ | 3/27/07 | J. Patrick Coolican and Michael J. Mishak

Democratic presidential contenders at a Las Vegas health care forum Saturday were in broad agreement about the causes of and potential solutions to the crisis in health care."

[skip paras]

"Obama's chief rival, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.), took the floor appearing ready for battle, and her presentation reflected her political history and devoted campaign team, which plays smashmouth politics.

"The crucial element of health care reform is not consensus but steamrolling the opposition, she said. She went after the insurance companies and said she would end 'insurance discrimination,'" where insurers refuse to cover people or refuse to pay for certain treatment.

"Clinton has a history of working for health care reform and said, 'I've got the scars to show for it.' She led an effort on behalf of her husband, President Bill Clinton, to reform health care, shortly after he took office. She was beaten badly, and many observers blame that defeat for the Democrats' landslide loss in 1994.

"The newly re-elected New York senator said her prior effort laid the groundwork for the current debate. Nevertheless, she suggested the coming debate will again be a battle with the insurance industry. 'We need to change the way we finance health care by taking money away from those who are doing well,' she said. 'So this is going to be a big political battle.'

"Judging by audience reaction, Clinton was the favorite. Most of the crowd were women, many in the health care industry."

A friend forwarded this to me. Sounds like Hillary is still channelling Saul Alinsky. Or would that be Mao, or Stalin. Whatever. Hillary: "We need to change the way we finance health care by taking money away from those who are doing well."

"The crucial element of health care reform is not consensus but steamrolling the opposition, she said.

But I thought the Democrats were always insisting that we have broad consensus on issues?

Hillary Clinton is a Closet Marxist and needs to be "Outed" for what she really stands for. She is a master of deception.

"Free stuff" always gets the crowd excited. Ever see Oprah put free goodies under the chairs of the women and half-men who come to her show! "Everybody, I have a suprise... look under your chairs!"

"Weeeeeee! Weeeeeeee! Weeeeeeeee! Weeeeeeeee! Weeeeeeeeee!" Free stuff!

Hillary thinks she's royalty and wants to be Queen. The American people will become her surfs and will be living in the same conditions. Never fear, for Queen Hillary will take care of you. You will get your daily bread and water and live in a straw hut.

I thought she was that way. Now she's going to be repeating the health care debate of 1993-94. She said she has learned from that experience but has she really?

If somehow she gets elected president, she will still have to get a health care bill through Congress. She won't be able to just issue a decree to declare that "quality affordable healthcare is now available to all".

She said she learned from the previous experiece about the need to build consensus and support, but now she's saying that you have to steam roll the opponents of your plans? Has she really learned anything, and has she changed her views of how to accomplish things?

Ha ha ha. Sorry, just trying to get the point across succintly.

I guess the point is, while all the dems and the media keep stressing that no one has stated how they would pay for health care deform, Hillary has clearly stated how she would. But you'll never hear about it in the national media.

Oh its easy how she will pay for it... You see we spend untold billions on healthcare now, so in her mind we just as a whole spent the same amount plus just a tad more we can all have just slightly crappy care instead of great care for some and lousy for others.

Instead of raising the lower up, she wants to bring the better down and meet somewhere in a gray medium area. She has it all figured out, just listen to her response when she is asked that question, remember, she is one of the smartest women in the world you know...[/s]

You are exactly right. She would give out little crumbs to all the "worker ants" IF they stayed in line.

Sure, she has learned how to be more deceitful and stealthy. That is why people of her ilk and the naive who support her are called "Useful Idiots" or "Dupes". Once such people are no longer useful, they are tossed aside.

I saw her Thighness on TV talking about a "national health identification card" so that the stupid masses would not have to take responsibility for keeping track of their own medical history. Would only cost a few hundred million or so. Nice new government database to keep track of all of us!
What's wrong with giving people a tax write off for medical insurance? The poorer you are, the more you get to write off. The wealthier you are, you get a smaller deduction.

The scariest part of what Hitlery is about is that once one would cease being "productive" i.e. , a TAX PAYER, one would just be a burden on the system. Once the worker ant is no longer useful, let it go off and die somewhere.

""The crucial element of health care reform is not consensus but steamrolling the opposition," she said.

Steamrolling is the technique of the left wing for the remainder of this decade.

Goron is using the same steamrolling strategy to push his GoreBull Warming BS. He wants to stop all discussion from our side.

I think that they are in a panic re how their MSM is losing power each day/week/month/year. By the end of this decade, their beloved MSM will have minimal impact on the middle of the road voter.
