Pco! Good to see you here, haven't gotten a crypto ping lately after that last flurry of them.

Be careful here and ask yourself twice, do I REALLY want to get into this. ;o)

Happy FReeping and see you around.

I am pro-life, Christian / Catholic, and believe that evolution is sound science. Why? Natural change happens.
That change doesnt mean that God has no place.
Nor does it mean that human life ceases to be sacred.

The slave trade? Just think of it this way. The Europeans saved all those souls from the Muslim cutthroats who sold Africans to them. They saved them from otherwise getting their throats cut like they do now in Sudan.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe most slaves were provided by other Africans. One tribe or group of people would fight, kill, and conquer another tribe/group, then sell the captives to the Europeans. The Europeans themselves couldn't have garnered enough feasible slave labor from just the ones they captured...

Not defending slavery, of course, but trying to clarify the notion that "evil white Europeans" came and grabbed Africans and enslaved them.

Did you do any uranium dating also?

No. I do western US archaeology, and the range we usually need is handled well by radiocarbon dating. (Radiocarbon dating is expensive enough--I would hate to see what the various other forms of radiometric dating cost!)

I'll look through my notes for the AZ question.

I forgot to address the AZ question. Sorry, I don't know much about that area, but let me know what you are looking for and maybe I can point some useful directions.

"I do agree with the general theme presented here. Coulter is an astute businesswoman and probably doesn't believe half the stuff she spouts. She has just found a nice niche market for herself."

Bull! Have you ever watched Ann? She is passionate in her beliefs and would never have had success without it! The left have made her even more successful.

I am thinking that people object to very long posts, when they dont agree with the substance of that post...however, when they do agree with the substance of a post, they dont seem to object any more, even tho that post may be exceedingly long...

I will say it again, I enjoy very long posts, on any thread, that I am interested in...

Of course, this decision is for JR alone to make, I should think...

We all have certain objections to the manner in which certain folks post...I am sure we could all name a few...

But for me anyway, long, lengthy posts are never a problem...I, for one, enjoy them...

I'm not sure if what you posted was directed at my post or the answer I was providing. It seems that our responses were the same. Areas of evolutionary related disciplines are far more broad than just biology too. Archeology, anthropology, geology, etc. No?

"I'm sure Ichneumon, as well as the lurkers, are impressed by your wit and acumen!"

I'm not trying to impress anybody.

I read a lot, and I am a bit schooled. I come to this place to express opinions.

Do you have a problem with that?

Good to see you here, haven't gotten a crypto ping lately after that last flurry of them.

Yeah, it usually comes in waves. Give it time and we'll probably soon see another flurry of them.

Unfortunately, I'm a little more hesitant about what I post as far as crypto news goes. A few months ago, I posted something you may remember...someone in the Florida Everglades took a Bigfoot photo that was an OBVIOUS fake and sent it to cryptomundo. Well, I posted the story, and photo, on FR (most of us ridiculed it, it was clearly an ape suit), and the person who originally took the pic saw it. She called JR and threatened legal action if the photo and thread weren't removed immediately--and I almost got into hot water myself! So yeah...I try to check stuff before I post it.

I just can't log off. ;o) I'll look for the notes on the old AZ dig and send it to you.

Bummer about the uranium dating. (on my part, not yours) and I'm scared to ask you for a link concering the AZ dig. You still have yet to send me a two or three page MAX link, but I confess, you provide a heck of a lot of reading materials!

I'm out for now (as long as there are no more pings)

You talking to me?....yes, I post on Darwin Central...and in the time that I have posted there, I have also posted here, as well...its true, my posting time on FR, was curtailed, by also posting on DC...

Of course, part of the reason for that might be, that I was tired, of being told I was going to Hell, right here on FR, because I support evolution...at least I knew on DC we could discuss evolution, and science and schmooze a bit, as happens on all sites, and I would not be condemned to hell for it...

But I never cut my ties with FR, nor was I ever banned or even once suspended...unless you have some special sort of secret informmation, that I dont know about, I am still a Freeper in good standing...

Nope. This is a fine place to express opinions, and we are all free to do so.

I just have a problem with the nature of your opinion. You wrote,

So the, let me be succinct.... take a hike hike, and take your BS intellectualism with you.

I think that you made a very dismissive and unreasoned response to a long and detailed, and at least to me, reasonable post. You did not address a single point that was made.

WAAAA! :o)

It must be tough being a ping list keeper with all the vetting needed. /h :o)

Looking forward to more of them (Summer brings em out)

G'nite.

lol far be it from me to condemn you. However, I do want to ask you the same question I've asked others: do you believe in the historicity of Adam? Also, do you believe the law of gravity is immutable? That is, tomorrow if you drop a pencil, do you believe it could go in some other direction than "down"?

Thanks.

"I think that you made a very dismissive and unreasoned response to a long and detailed, and at least to me, reasonable post. You did not address a single point that was made."

That is fair.

My only explanation is...I tend to read fast, and type slow..., oh and I make quick judgments which is a major character flaw.

After I posted, I went and reviewed a profile or more, and I felt a bit vindicated over my post.  I have certain beliefs which are in conflict it seems with yours (and yours), but not with everyone's.

It appears that will all disagree on a few things, and sometimes that brings out the worst in me. Well, some negative aspects, but I digress.

Your comment brought me back to Earth so to speak.

I made a mistake, and I apologize.

Don't go away, just, let me have the last word.  J/K.

Whose property? says the Jew on the thread. 8>)

An Irish Jew? Have you been drinking tonight. I said the Aristocracy. Never mind how the Kings, Dukes, and Barons got to own the stuff, they just did by time the Muslim gangsters wanted to move in. It's the same today. Just ask James Baker. We are fighting for the modern financial aristocracy's hold on wealth which needs oil to move the economic engine to make them more wealth. They ain't fighting over religion any more than were the Medieval Lords.
