Condoleezza Rice had been looking forward to this night for weeks. It was three days before her 52nd birthday, on a Saturday this past November, and she was taking 11 of her friends to the Kennedy Center to watch Yo-Yo Ma perform with the National Symphony Orchestra. On this night she would not have to think about Iraq or North Korea.
A mix of glamour and seriousness, her looks, demeanor, and range of interestsfrom football to fashionhave been a source of stories both at home and abroad. President Bush has called her Martha Stewart with access to nuclear codes.

I don’t think anything could hurt Condi. If she has the guts to run for President... no one could stop her. She would be the most intelligent president in my life time (I’m 62), and also the best looking.
I think she could easily win the presidency over anyone the dems have to offer.
sorry...anyone who promotes and authorizes the transfer of weapons to the palistinians because they “promised” not to use them against israel is not only an idiot, but borderline incompetent. the proof of this is that 2 weeks ago they promised to use these exact weapons against israel, thereby breaking said promise. condi needs to go....
That is one terrific piece. I am a huge admirer of Condoleeza Rice. She is a ‘Profile in Grace’ on so many levels. A remarkable woman.
I’d vote for Jerry Rice.
Glad you enjoyed it. I did too. :0)
Psst!
How about Thompson/Rice? Give her 4 or 8 years as Veep, then look out!
I like fried rice............. :)
Luckilly, the majority of 15 countries were not playing piano but kept an eye on the ball and stopped this madness. Sort of passengers saving veering bus while the driver is sound asleep.
Perhaps it is high time that someone reminds Condy of her Boss' position on terrorism: "You're either with us, or against us".
Condy supports islmofascists in Kosovo while Americans are losing lives to fight them elsewhere. And the diplomats under her command embarass America.
Btw. the article conveniently skips to inform us what was on the program of the Concert that night. Shostakovich, if Google is right. Many centuries ago a Greek philosopher warned against disorder in music becuase it can easily translate into disorder in society.
I don't think fonebone would vote for her
I for one wish she would get in the game. She’d take the nomination easily. The Party isn’t happy with its choices, but she is who she is, and she’s not a politician. She might end up as somebody’s VP, however.
So it will be Rudy or Romney at the end of the day, imho.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
Many centuries ago a Greek philosopher warned against disorder in music becuase it can easily translate into disorder in society.”
Recent Christian philosophers have said same, adding that disorder in music is both cause -— and effect.
No one listens to Shostakovich because they want to. It is just obligatorialy placed on the program because we feel like we need to look sophisticated. Anyone who pretends to like this crap (Condi included) is a poser.
I'm with you. I'm 57 and will never vote for a woman president, especially one from the State Department.

BIG BUMP!
FMCDH(BITS)
what makes you think that???? :)
I’m very intuitive about that kind of stuff!
