Montel Williams Ditches Soldier Who Wouldn't Complain About Treatment

See Update Below

In the post-Walter Reed world, the MSM is on the prowl for stories that fit the template -- troops suffering at the hands of an indifferent military health bureaucracy. Yesterday's episode of the Montel Williams show demonstrates what happens when a soldier doesn't stick to the victimization script.Have a look at this article from the Grand Junction [Colo.] Sentinel, which reports on the appearance on the Williams show of Kelli Frasier, a resident of Clifton, CO in the Grand Junction area. Frasier, who served 11 months in Iraq, was invited onto the show to discuss her experiences in Iraq and once she returned home. According to the article, "Frasier suffers anxiety attacks and bouts of unexplainable anger and has been diagnosed as suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder." But while Williams was eager to emphasize the problems Frasier has encountered, according to the article:

When she told Williams she was treated well by the Department of Veterans Affairs, he seemed to lose interest and moved quickly to another segment, she said.

During a commercial break, though, he gestured to her and commented, “This soldier’s not going to complain,” Frasier said.

She was whisked away to the airport and never spoke again to Williams, she said.

“It was absolutely nothing like I expected it to be,” she said of the show. “He didn’t ask me any of the questions I was prepared for.”

On the other hand, she said, “Maybe I was able to educate people about what soldiers go through when they come home.”

The MSM: all the news that fits the Bush-bashing paradigm.

Why do I continue to be surprised?

Really, it amazes me how, day after day, I am still surprised at the America-hatred and complete disregard for literally EVERYTHING else in life and the future for the instant satisfaction of hating/blaming George Bush.

God help us all.

A good reminder that some Media Bias shows up in what the media explicitly says, and some Media Bias shows up in what the media tries to ignore.

Montel Williams is a foolish loudmouth who should stick to what he does best: providing a platform for Sylvia Brown to shill her psychic con game.

I didn’t know he still had a show. At least Springer has phony trailer-trash brawls.

I got stuck in a room where this crap was on yesterday. Absolutely ludicrous. The 10 mins or so I saw had some Army women telling about her terrifying experience in Iraq. First there was a mortar attack (Although she couldn’t tell if it was outgoing or incoming.) then she saw tracer rounds in the sky and somebody got killed. Now she has PTSD and nobody will help her. Then they show this picture of her in fatigues and about 50 lbs lighter in Iraq while Montel goes on a rant about Bush spending billions on a surge and won’t spend enough to help vets.

More likely the money comes first. Liberalism sells. They have no morals.

No surprise from someone who repeatedly gives a platform to the likes of Sylvia Browne while completely ignoring the blatant facts about her “psychic ability.”

I keep hoping one of these celebs/talkshow hosts/newsies will actually do the right thing. Sometimes, one or another does, but mostly, they don’t.

Montel once married some stripper who was a guest on his show. I think her stage name was “Bubbles” or something like that. The main thing that attracted Montel to her was her hooters. After she had a baby, her body lost some of its former shape so Montel dumped her. What a guy!

Met his ex-wife, Grace Morley, when she and her mother appeared on his talk show. The episode was about mother and daughter showgirls. Grace had previously danced topless in Las Vegas under the name "Bambi Jr".
