Rudy Giuliani blasted Democrats on the Iraq war and emphasized his role after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, which made him a national figure, in a speech to supporters in St. Petersburg on Wednesday.
Giuliani, leading in polls in the Republican presidential primary both nationally and in Florida, was making his first public campaign appearance in the Tampa Bay area.
"You have to be on offense against terrorists," Giuliani told the crowd. "Before Sept. 11, we were playing defense."
If a Democrat wins the election, "we'll be right back playing defense because that's what the Democrats are doing," he said.
"In my knowledge of history, I can never think of a time in which a nation or an army that decided to retreat made the decision to give the schedule for that retreat to the enemy," he said.

That's why we need Giuliani - he puts the Democrats on the defensive, not the other way around.

Of course he does...he'll have the Dims rush for the Exedrin PM in no time flat.
However, the 20 or so hysterical abortion John Browns on FR will probably be committing suicide.

Was this before or after he pledged his support to publicly funding infanticide?

If a Democrat wins the election, well be right back playing defense because thats what the Democrats are doing, he said. You can say that again.

If in 12 years a Republican congress could not get rid of abortion funding, even with a prolife president, how could Rudy do any better?

Not to mention the pro-life president we’ve had.
People are using the abortion issue to try to split the conservatives, precisely because the Dems are deathly afraid of Rudy.

You've got your
own site for boosting Rudy and denigrating other candidates 24 hours a day. Why do you have to afflict the rest of us with this non-stop Rudy spam?

Exactly — pardon, somehow I missed the second part of your sentence, referring the presiden, that’s why my post didn’t make sense as a respons. Sorry.

However, the 20 or so hysterical abortion John Browns on FR will probably be committing suicide. Unlike other FReepers, I've always stuck to the existing topic about Rudy.
What makes Rudy better to manage the WOT than the other candidates?
Both Hunter and Tancredo have far more experience in the WOT than Rudy does, and even Romney strongly denounced Iran in a speech.
Your spin is getting naseauting and it's not fooling anyone.
To: ClaireSolt
If in 12 years a Republican congress could not get rid of abortion funding, even with a prolife president, how could Rudy do any better? President Bush and Congressman Pence have used their respective positions to promote the pro-life agenda.
Any President that feels that fetuses are nothing more than used toilet tissue shouldn't be elected dog catcher.

What makes Rudy better to manage the WOT than the other candidates?I like Italians with a score to settle. Rudy took 9/11 personally I believe....I think that's why he wants the gig.
As Dennis Miller so aply stated: Bush was our middle inning guy, Rudy is the closer....Mariano Rivera in the 9th.

Hunters a good man but he's toast...gone.
His 500,000 bucks in the first quarter won't buy his campaign a decent burial....just enough to hire a catamaran and dump it over the side.
Tancredo is a jackass who is busy looking at himself in the mirror.
