Excerpt -
April 15, 2007 -- Filmmaker Michael Moore's production company took ailing Ground Zero responders to Cuba in a stunt aimed at showing that the U.S. health-care system is inferior to Fidel Castro's socialized medicine, according to several sources with knowledge of the trip. The trip was to be filmed as part of the controversial director's latest documentary, "Sicko," an attack on American drug companies and HMOs that Moore hopes to debut at the Cannes Film Festival next month.
Two years in the making, the flick also takes aim at the medical care being provided to people who worked on the toxic World Trade Center debris pile, according to several 9/11 workers approached by Moore's producers.
But the sick sojourn, which some say uses ill 9/11 workers as pawns, has angered many in the responder community.

I suggest Moore get all of his future medical treatment in Cuba. Not that Castro flew out of Cuba to a Western country to get his medical care (sarc).
As regards Cuba exporting drugs, they are likely generic copies. They have put a lot of effort into biotech, which explains the three vaccines being tested by a US country. Being tested and being effective are not synonymous.

I wonder how Fat Moore feels about proposed fat laws to prevent obesity? It would appear (from afar) that he has become accustomed to a higher than normal calorie diet.

Wash Basin used by Orthopedic surgeons before treating patients
La Pradera International Health Center - Health Center built by Castro for foreign tourists. No doubt a place like where Moore went.

The Real Cuba dot com is a fantastic website. It’s a perfect illustration of what communism does to a formerly productive country.

Despite the constant nagging about it in the MSM, the American healthcare industry leads the world, and has saved untold millions of lives.
I think Moore’s going to have a tough time getting his propaganda across on this one.

Superior health care is why Castro had to bring in a western (Spanish) doctor when his own ailment became life threatening.

A person his size will start having medical problems sooner or later. We will see what he does when the inevitable happens.
Here is an interesting thing to ponder: He didn't take them to his beloved Canada. I wonder why?

And the Cuban government will put on a dog-and-pony show, just like the Nazis did for the Red Cross at Thereisenstadt.

If I remember correctly, is it not illegal for a US citizen to visit Cuba?

No, you just can’t get a direct flight there, and if you did, you’d have to show a dam good reason to the state dept. as to why to get the visa.
