PHOENIX, Ariz. — Shane Huffman will return to Phoenix International Raceway to drive the No. 88 Navy Accelerate Your Life Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS in the NASCAR Busch Series Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 on Friday, April 20.
Prior to racing at Phoenix, Huffman and JR Motorsports team owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. will spend Wednesday aboard the USS Cleveland LPD-7. The vessel is the fourth amphibious transport dock in the Austin class. Commissioned in April 1967, the USS Cleveland is home ported out of San Diego, Calif., as a member of the Pacific Fleet Amphibious Forces. At 569 feet in length, the USS Cleveland has divided her time between operations in the Eastern Pacific and extended deployments to the Western Pacific. It is normally assigned as part of an Expeditionary Strike Group and has performed a wide variety of missions.

I would have loved to been a fly on the wall for the Monday morning meeting at HMS.
I was really surprised at all the naysayer articles about why Jr should NOT have done that. What a load.
If someone were to ask Dale Jr, "How bad have you got it?"....what do you think he would say?
"Well, I'm having my go-cart track resurfaced, does that count?"
BTW, had to take my vehicle back to the dealer today - again. They said it was fixed. Same issue. What crap.
I'll give the service rep credit, when I called him this morning and said, "Who fixed this thing? Stevie Ray Wonder?" He laughed. I said, "Don't laugh, when I bring the vehicle back I might forget about the right turn into the service area and just continue driving right on into the show room area!"
Without hesitation he said, "no problem, I'll let the boss know we got a hot one coming in and we need more vehicles in front of the show room windows!"
That made me giggle.
To heck with the naysayers, his fans were 100% proud that he did that for a friend.
When asked how did it run? “Like a wrecked car” LOL
I would be almost willing to bet Shrub took off in a huff like he’s done before with his no comments to reporters etc.
The reporters don’t matter but his team did. Jr got him 3 points. lol
