The poll was of 1141 adults, not likely or even registered voters, so take it for what it’s worth.
YOU CAN SEE THE WHOLE POLL ON THE WASHINGTON POST WEBSITE HERE Washington Post/ABC News Poll
What the polls indicate at this web site, illustrate how much out of line many here are with the rest of the conservative world.
It’s just as easy to isolate from the rest of the conservative world by staying only on this site. You can draw opinions from just one source if you like, but I chose to look closely at what the rest of the World has been up to on a daily basis.
Trust me, things have changed a great deal in the last 5 years. They are no longer the way we wish they were.
...among a random national sample of 1,141 adults, including an oversample of African Americans...
This is a Democrat push poll to show Hillary is more popular than Obama (even though her unfavorables have climbed to 46%), Pelosi is more popular than GWB, and generally to push the Democrat agenda, which is to make Rudy the frontrunner.
Polls don’t mean squat - real Republicans will not show up at a primary to vote for Rudy - and if they do and he ends up the candidate for this party, then this party has left me.
Someone should do something about the double Thompson confusion. Tommy T needs to find another line of work.
Which makes it an excellent place to find out about the supporters of 'fringe' candidates.
Which is what we were talking about.
Of the two of us, your calling an ex-Senator, with no executive experience, with a single digit support showing at this stage “the main contender” is the most Pollyannish post yet.
Ask onyx.
What’s your opinion on McCain and Romney?
Romney is OK, but being a northeastern RINO for most of his career makes his recent stance as a conservative questionable. Has decent experience, but doesn't seem to excite people. McCain is just unstable. Good on most issues, but loves the spotlight and seems to pander to the media. I don't trust his temperament and his campaign in 2000 was just bazaar. McCain can be a budget hawk one minute and push some big spending program the next.
The natural direction for the "marital infidelity vote", LOL!
Actually, Newt was never properly included anyways. He never had thrown his hat in the ring. Just as Thompson should not be on these lists. Until he announces.
I thought these early polls meant nothing to the anti-Rudy people. Now that there’s an expected tightening (which BTW is normal during the course of a multi-candidate race) the glee is apparent with the anti-Rudies. Way I see it is that for meaningless polls, having your candidate consistently leading by double digits is welcomed news.
Of course the polls mean something, but polls don’t mean everything. Rudybots are using polls to suggest Rudy is already the candidate and/or is the only candidate who has any chance to win. Polls tell us Rudy is in the lead.
Ditto! He sure has a bad case of foot in mouth disease lately.
ROTFLOL! Keep that handy Luis!!!!
I asked many time, why would 90% of FR even bother with whom the other 10% support? Their time and energy could be spent supporting and making a case for their own candidate(s).
