I once told a couple of funny stories on my children which were overheard by their friends. I now make it a point not to EVER humiliate them like that. If I could take away the looks on their faces the moment they heard me....

It is one of those moments that creates profound regret for a parent. I used them to score laugh points for myself. I am ashamed of what I did...and it was no ones fault but my own. They have forgiven me and I have never done it again. But boy does it still hurt me.
