GMA Hides Hillary Snub by Rutgers Players

If the Rutgers women's basketball players had spurned an invitation to meet with President Bush, do you think ABC might have told us about it? Natch. But when those same players blew off a chance to meet Hillary Clinton, ABC managed to put a positive spin on matters.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton finally dropped by Rutgers to meet with the school's women's basketball coach -- but the players themselves skipped the half-hour meeting, citing their studies and Imus fatigue.
"Many of the players were in study hall from eight to noon and some had finals," explained a Rutgers source who said the players were "tired" of all the attention. "These young women need to do their classes, and wrap their spring semester."
It's enough to give a guy flashbacks to co-eds shooting him down for a Saturday-night date because they had to study.

So, how did ABC report it? On today's Good Morning America, newsreader Ron Claiborne offered this upbeat assessment of Hillary's visit:
Senator Hillary Clinton paid a visit Friday to Rutgers University. She met with the coach of the women's basketball team. She said the young women showed the world the difference between bravery and bravado.
A clip of Hillary on stage at Rutgers was flashed, and that was it. Not a discouraging word of the snub by the players was heard. You remember the old Bing Crosby song:
You've got to ac-cen-tu-ate the positive.
E-lim-in-ate the negative.
At least when it comes to an MSM outlet's treatment of a leading Dem presidential contender, that is.

One of the most disturbing and dangerous aspects of the Post-Enlightenment is the distortion of the reporting of information, it's slanting, censorship, manipulation, concealed agenda, and, at times, downright mendacity.

I was going to write a FR editorial about my first reaction to the Virginia Tech news, and I still may.

I heard the news at work in the early afternoon. Among my very first thoughts: "Here we go again. Probably going to have to turn off the news and avoid any kind of news station , whether TeeVee or radio, for the next few days."

When I got home, I immediately jumped on the Net and got the skinny on Virginia Tech's wrong-headed approach to gun control on its campus (via The Roanoke Times from last year). At that point I definitely knew that I'd have to avoid the "news".

Sure enough, the gun-control nuts immediately pounced, damn the facts.

And then, NBC delivered - they pooped out that vile stuff that they got from Cho all over the air.

LOL! The newsies have gotten us to the point where we can give whackjob advice to people to "just turn off your TeeVee set - they're going to pollute your living room" and WE'LL BE RIGHT.

I saw a Freeper point out that it took them five years to do a serious MooVee on 9/11, wringing their hands the whole while about whether it was too soon or not. However, since this one involved gun control, it was IMPERATIVE for NBC to immediately flush its Cho toilet right in everyone's faces (including the shocked and grieving families).

You'll never find a greater hive of scum and villany...

...we knew the have-to-study excuse for Saturday night was about as believable as gotta-rearrange-my-sock-drawer ;-)

LOL. They probably had to take back some library books, or pick some rocks out of their car tires, or restring their basketball shoes, or...

Hooray Rutgers girls! Hillaryous!

Wow. Thanks for that info on Reverend Soaries. He certainly is a step above Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

I have new found respect for him. Does he broadcast his services? I would love to watch.

Some of us are thankful. It’s not often people get to look in the face of pure evil and live. I’m glad his rantings were made public. Now I know what to look for in the future.
