Last night at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic was paid a visit by a film crew from French-Canadian TV 3 out of Quebec. The crew was there working on a story about Code Pink and they came up from the Pinkos' spot in front of Walter Reed to get our views on the war in Iraq.
Gael Murphy led a contingent of Pinkos up the block to our permitted area at the main gate so she could get some footage of the Pinkos 'dialoguing' with the Freepers for the film crew.
One of the Pinkos called our troops "the terrorists" in Iraq. That took an already contentious engagement to as close to blows as we've come in a long time. If it had been a man who said that instead of a woman, you might be looking at a ten count on the video instead of the verbal clashes that ensued.

Yes, I do think that calling them traitors, absent demonstrating that, goes over the top. I saw nothing in the video that showed that the Code Pinkers had committed treason, especially the hangable kind.
The left only pretends to manners, and then only to draw an angry reaction for the cameras. Responding to that with genuine courtesy is folly of the highest order.
Good manners doesn't just show courtesy, it also demonstrates self-confidence. Get them to lose their cool, rather than losing yours.
Easier said than done, though. They practice it all the time.
To stand out there, and to post the confrontation - kudos.
Acting as though they might possibly have a valid point to make does nothing but accord them an undeserved advantage. They do not have a valid point to make. They do not deserve respect, or even civility.
Responding point by point gets one's points heard. Yelling insults implies insecurity in one's position.

You can’t limit yourself to this one video. There is ample evidence that every leftist is guilty of the hangable kind of treason.

When you’re in white tie and tails, sure. When you’re eyeball to eyeball with scum, it is not only a waste of time and effort, it is dangerous.

Speaking with passion and force is not the same thing as “losing one’s cool.” Or, to use a phrase without a drug-culture provenance, It is not the same thing as losing one’s self-control.

When I was a boy, barking moonbats from planet Commie Nutbar were comparatively rare. The left has made unimaginable strides over the past 50 years, and they have done it primarily through two means: yelling insults, and violence.

The Lefties game plan is to provoke this kind of response from us, especially in the presence of media or a camera of any kind. It is imperative that we remain calm and on message, or we play right into their hand, and do no good for the troops and America. They portray themselves as the “peace people”, and us as “surly, pro-war, thugs”. Keep their agenda in mind everytime they approach you. Smiling, courtesy, and facts, are our best weapons. Remember, we are the ambassadors for our movement. God bless you all for your great work! Keep it up!

It does not pay to "play nice" with traitors.

Perhaps you should suggest that they make some with a big American flag. BTW, we should have a contest to come up with a symbol for freedom.
