The fact that you’re still on this is what’s insane. I’ll state again...your original thesis that liberals loved Guiliani in NY is just wrong....it’s not even debatable...But, as always, you want to keep this on a personal level. It’s the only way you people can fight. It’s really pathetic.

Now you're being silly. You and I have rarely, if ever, butted heads. So for you to say, "But, as always, you want to....blah blah blah" is ridiculous.

Your posting history tells the story, Hildy. You have been quite rude and obnoxious in your posts and that, my dear, is what is really pathetic.

As for liberals hating Rudy, you still have not told me EXACTLY what it was about him that they hated. Which issues did they disagree with him on? Also, don't you find it difficult to defend Giuliani's positions on the issues when his own words are out there for everyone to read for themselves? Perhaps you think you know more about where he stands on the issues than he does? I can't wait to see him in a debate.

There is a moral consequence to the elimination of a fetus, but it’s not the same thing as murder.”
— Rudy Giuliani, 1987

I will never vote for this man. No, not even in the general. If a liberal is going to destroy this nation, I’d just as soon that person have a “D” after their name.

“Hilary would be better, since there would be an opposition to her...”

I’d just as soon not see either of them anywhere near the WH, but you do make sense in a wierd and frightening way. The best way to make the Repubs start acting like Repubs again may be that screeching harridan in the oval office.

(shuddering)

"Gee, when Jim accepted my money, he never asked me for my Conservative credentials."

Well, gee, I never had any reason to doubt you until the last few months. Always thought yuu were one of us. A little nasty at times maybe, but still a right wing conservative like the rest of us. Otherwise, why were you here for all these years? You didn't know we were pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-liberty or what? I really don't understand.

” It’s really pathetic.”

What’s really pathetic is how boring your little life must be. You said “goodbye” to us two days ago, and yet, guess who’s back—again? Could you define what “goodbye” means for us? Maybe it has a different meaning for liberals.

Of course I knew that. I didn’t know that if I didn’t tow the line 100% I would be so ostracized and personally attacked. I thought we were in this for the good of the country. I thought we were all adults and could have a reasonable debate.

What I didn’t know is that the extreme right wing is just as nasty as the far left. That is what I’ve learned here these past few months.

Let me ask you, Jim..how much progress has the Conserative movement made the last 10 years since this forum started? THAT’S HOW MUCH INFLUENCE you have. Every Conservative who ran in 2006 lost. I don’t know how you can put any positive spin on that.

First and foremost, I am pro-USA. I will do anything to keep Hillary out of the White House. Right now, Rudy is the only one who can do it. If Fred enters the race, we’ll see what happens. He is not officially in the race, so we who choose to live in the real world debate what IS..not what we’d LIKE it to be.

And in that regard, I really don’t understand you.

HIldy, I wouldn't presume to speak for Jim Robinson, but I have to say that you're not only out of line smart mouthing, you're mischaracterizing the election in order to spin it as something to help put Rudy on the ticket. Conservative democrats won seats and the vote count was much higher in democrat numbers than in pubby numbers because stupid fair weather conservatives believed the Neal Boortz crap that the Republican party needed to be sent a message. Jumping into liberlaism isn't the way to get those people to go vote..

Name a Conservative Republican who won in 2006, and maybe you’ll have a point.

Not the point I was trying to make, and you know that but thought you could get a fight over the notion. Seek it with someone else, pal.

To utter the words “rudi guiliani” in the same breath as The Great Ronald Reagan is an insult to one of the greatest leaders the world has ever seen!

We are not going to put an abortionist, feminist, gun grabbing liberal into the White House from the GOP. Period. End of story. We are not going to allow weak kneed RINO, moderate and liberal GOPers to destroy the conservative movement just as we’ve had some of our greatest achievements ever. In case you missed it, GWB is remaking the court system and it’s starting to pay dividends. No liberal GOPers need apply for the presidency!

With your attitude, we’d tuck tail and run at the very first sign of adversity.

Got news for you:

We have not yet begun to fight!!

They only wish it was that way. Not all republicans lost and many conservatives won.

People are so sick of the squishy lukewarm, go along to get along types. They lost interest. Some good people got caught in the wave.

Hildy just wants it to be that way cause she's a liberal.

Rudiphilia nervosa is a horrible tragedy.

There ought to be a foundation or something.

I dunno, Hildy is somewhat unique. She’s very liberal, even leftist, on some things and a died in the wool conservative on others, like taxes and welfare bloat.
