Hello everyone. I'd like to ask your prayers for my father-in-law (yes, I'm divorced, but he's my father-in-law and I love him dearly) as he goes in for open heart surgery Tuesday morning, East Coast Time. He's also fighting cancer, and is a believer - a minister, even!
Please lift Papa Christopher up in your prayers today, and remember him during his surgery and fight for health.
Thank you, and God bless you all.

Dear Lord, please touch and heal that man. Bless doctors and nurses who will be operating him. Be with his loved ones. I pray in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

A prayer for Papa Christopher. I pray his surgery went well and that the wisdom of the Lord Jesus filled the hands and minds of his caregivers. Blessings on you, too, bootless.

My oldest son has been through 4 open heart surgeries. After surgery it is NORMAL to go through a period of depression. That depression passes after about 6 months without any intervention. Resist the doctor's attempts to "fix" the problem with stuff like Prozac, Paxil or Zoloft. Those medications are the road to serious problems in the future. I warned my boss to avoid them, but he didn't heed the advice. Weeks later he called me with endless laments about how he didn't have the energy or desire to do anything. It is now 7 years after that event and he is still screwed up. The company essentially forced him to retire because he wasn't capable of being productive anymore. Pretty tough to hear that at age 38.
My son went through about 5 months of "poor me" and rejection of his friends. The problem cleared up just fine and he is back to normal.

May God’s Love and your Father-in-law’s Faith in Him bring him Peace and Wellness. May God’s Hand guide the Doctors and Nurses and may Your Love comfort him when he awakens. Amen
