The Talk Shows
Sunday, April 29th, 2007
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and wife Cindy McCain.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., presidential candidate.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice; Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice; Sens. Russ Feingold, D-Wis., and Sam Brownback, R-Kan., presidential candidate; actress Natalie Portman.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice; Reps. Adam Putnam, R-Fla., and Jane Harman, D-Calif.; Hoshyar Zebari, Iraqi foreign minister; European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso.
I believe Tenent is playing CYA, Washington style. He was kept on even though he served under Clinton. Probably a mistake on Bush’s part but that’s history. What Tenant said isn’t all that bad from what I’ve heard but he seems to give Clinton a pass while blaming Bush more than he should have. Selective critiques are usually in poor taste.
MTP
McCain on immigration —
supports many of the concepts of McCain-Kennedy, rehashing it now, “first and foremost a priority”.
Americans deserve border security. Borders are broken.
Wallace doesn’t has McCain how he would accomplish border security or fix the broken borders. Wallace skips over to McCain-Feingold.
McCain: ‘No one outside the beltway ever stands up (in the townhall meetings) and asks about McCain-Feingold.’
So, this is what he was saying about "democrat-outreach?"
Natalie looks happy to meet her.
LOL. Biden voted to give the President the authority to AVOID a war.
Another guy who didn’t read the resolution.
From my standpoint I have learned a lot from that thread.
For one thing as another Freeper reminded me this is Jim Robinson's Website. "We are here at his pleasure",that's something I plan not to forget.
In addition he is right when he claims that this should be a Conservative site. Actually I never thought of it as anything else.
Since much of the argument centers on Rudy Guiliani's candidacy from my perspective if Rudy becomes the nominee of my party, the Republicans, I am sworn to and will whole heartedly support him.
However from my standpoint once again, Rudy Guiliani is not my first choice.
My first choice currently is Fred Thompson.I would hope he turns out to be RR II even though I know he has been charged with being waaaay too close the McCain and several other misdeeds in his legislative past.
But from my standpoint I see few "perfect" candidates running on our side and Thompson remains my first choice with Duncan Hunter as second.
If newt did not have so much baggage and such a tendency to please all the lib/rats all the time he would be my third but due to his 80/20% tendency to self destruct I have had to rule him out.
Now a personal word about something that I always consider when thinking about FR--freedom of thought, expression and FR as a bastion of cutting edge,,new, vital ideas and the leader of the conservative base of the new media.
I have always viewed FR as "the" place for new ideas and inspiration for the rest of the New Media from talk to tv to the rest of the net.
The contributions here are second to none and hopefully from my perspective will always stay that way.
I do not plan to do anything other than what I have always done here, express what I believe and believe in what I express.
Many Contributions here on FR from my standpoint are vital and key to the rest of the conservative movement.
And once again I never forget who the real enemy is--Democrats--I seldom have time to waste fighting other conservatives, even if they don't share my point of view. I try always to reserve that time for fighting the scourge of the earth "Democrats". A party so evil they will let troops in harms way go unfunded and cohort with the enemy for political gain. An enemy truly worthy of defeating.
From my standpoint it just makes little sense to fight amongst our selves when we have a socialist enemy(the terrorists and the dems) bearing down on the last bastion of freedom in the world.
Goin to work myself Dude catch you later.
“OH, HAPPY DAY!”
oh, happy day.
According to Biden, we could solve every problem in the world if we just weren’t in Irak...or Iraq.
Very True. Someone @ NR wrote that Tenet was more critical of Clinton & Gore. But MSM won’t report that & don’t care. Fox USED to report these things.
You should hear the list of things that he says the resolution DID say...none of which was in the resolution. It’s pretty funny.
Buh-Bye Hairy!
Biden says he would call an international conference to “put pressure” on the parties.
They all say that, but never say what that pressure is as they all hang out at some five star resort somewhere.
That freeper you mentioned is a genius, I just happen to know.
Well said Rodguy, well said...
Biden knows that we cannot leave Iraq until it is stablized so he offers up his partition plan. He says Maddy has signed on. Well, that will convince everyone it’s a good idea.
Then he says we aren’t building a democracy because we are building a wall. What an idiot.
