I recently spoke with a political insider in Tennessee who said that Senator Fred Thompson will enter the race for President after his Law and Order contract expires during the third week of May. This is apparently what he is waiting for, as there is some clause that might prevent him from doing what he needs to do to run.
The source is a Republican elected official in the state house in Nashville who I consider to be very credible. Otherwise, I would not post this on my blog. I guess we will know for sure in a few weeks. With Thompson running third in recent polls, he could really shake up the race.

Is he running? Until he declares he is running, then he is not running. So... I know he is not running.
Will he run? My gut says no, but it’s fun to speculate, eh?
