Movie star JANE FONDA kicked off a televised tribute to CNN anchorman LARRY KING by turning up in person to honor her pal. Wearing a white suit, the actress stunned the broadcaster during a special show to honor his 50 years in the business, which aired in America the other night. She said, "Hey Larry, I thought Id just stop by and say, 50 years, youve gotta be kidding
He doesnt look a day over 50." She then spoke fondly of her special friendship with the newsman, adding, "Youve always been a real good friend and youre one of my favourite people to have as a guest in my ranch." Fonda also had a little fun at Kings expense, joking about his skills as a horseman: "For those of you watching from home you havent lived until youve seen Larry on a horse; its a little bit like George W. Bush in a flight suit its just wrong." She concluded by praising Kings interview technique, stating, "Being interviewed by him is like sitting in a living room with a friend
whos smart, whos kind (and) a little bit flirtatious." The TV roast, hosted by comedian Bill Maher, also featured quirky video tributes from former President George Bush, Hugh Hefner, Sarah Ferguson, Chris Rock, Whoopi Goldberg, Ashton Kutcher and Alec Baldwin, who poked fun at his pals interviewing technique and joked that the left arm King leans his chin on when listening to guests is false. The actor said, "Larry lost his arm in an accident when he was a child." Celine Dion also joined the celebration, via satellite from her home in Las Vegas, and thanked King for helping to calm her nerves when he first interviewed her on his CNN show Larry King Live. She recalled, "Not only was it one of the biggest moments in my career, in my life, I was very impressed with the way Larry interviewed me."He knew I was scared and he was so respectful, hes so generous
and he always asked the right questions." Dion even broke her no-singing-before-a-show rule and sang Because You Loved Me unaccompanied for the broadcaster.
You’re both right, I stand corrected. I don’t know why I put down 104 other than I was upset. :-)

Okay, now that I have your attention, I wont keep you in suspense about the underwear. In 1972, a young attorney in Miami named Peter F. Paul was serving as a law clerk. As his first official act, he was directed by his firm to serve a subpoena in a civil fraud suit on one Larry King. King was also hiding out from the authorities for criminal fraud and failure to pay massive debts. He eventually spent some time in the gray bar motel.
King arrest photo.
Under an assumed name, King was hiding out in Dupont Plaza. Peter knocked on the door. When he came to the door, King was in his underwear. Ewwwwwww. Peter asked him if he was Larry King, handed him the subpoena, and told him he was served. Boxers or briefs? They were Jockeys.
King is going to be subpoenaed to testify in the Paul v. Clinton case. In July of 2000, he spent an hour and a half in Peters Stan Lee Media office discussing with him the role Bill Clinton was going to be play as a rainmaker for SLM when he left the presidency. King joined his wife Shawn for the luncheon at Spago. She attended the Gershman Tea. Peter was not certain, but he just checked the guest list, and King was at the gala concert.
The list grows daily of the people who knew all about Bill Clintons plans to come to work for SLM. According to her declaration of 4-7-06, it seems that Hillary was not in the loop. Isnt that how it always is? The wife is always the last to know. Chelsea knew. Why didnt she tell her mommy? Hey, I bet even Vince Foster and Ron Brown know, but they cant be subpoenaed. (Note to leftist critics: I have never claimed that they were murdered.)
ANN ON LARRY KING
When Tom DeLay was indicted by the crazed political prosecutor in Texas, Ann Coulter was a guest on LKL. As soon as she mentioned the million dollars never declared by Hillary, King changed the subject. When I met Ann recently after her appearance on Jay Leno, I told her about Kings role in the Hillary fiasco. She was unaware of Kings role and was also unaware that defendant Bill has a date in a Los Angeles courtroom early next year.
Here is a photo taken at Spago that King may view a little more favorably than his mug shot.
It was December of 1991, and Russian citizens were celebrating their first Christmas in freedom. Peter had organized the Hollywood community to bring medicine, food, toys, and other necessities for a group of Russian orphans. About 120 celebrities participated and dropped off the gifts at the Spago parking lot. Peter arranged for an airlift to deliver them.
You might wonder what it takes to get an invite to be on the Larry King Alive show. I have the answer. Twenty-five thousand dollars. That is what Peter had to pay. It seems that Aaron Tonken had been hanging around Los Angeles with a Mormon fundraiser. He came to the SLM office and discussed with Peter having Stan Lee on Larrys show. Sure, no problem. Make a $25,000 check out to Larrys favorite Mormon charity, and you have a deal. So, Stan was graciously invited to appear on the show. (Note to self: talk to JimRob. Maybe we can raise 25 grand and get him on LKL.)
As an aside, did anyone see LKL on the Monday following the Aug. 12, 2000 gala fundraiser? King had on Cher and dear Hillary. That would have been on the 14th, the day before the WASHPOST article and the beginning of the Peter Who? campaign.
Oh, in case you wondered. No, I dont have a photo of Larry in his underwear. If I did, you would have seen it. Peter described them as being saggy.
NOTE TO LARRY: please dont wear HILLARY 2008 suspenders for your deposition. And dont expect softballs.
..suspenders support saggy softballs..not a goooood
vis-u-al!!!
