"The government has enough weapons in storage for almost every US citizen

Not as many as you think, and not nearly the ammo to do the job.

OK, Russian commander is shot by Jed in a cowboy style shootout with Jed using his dad's revolver and the Russian using a submachine gun.

Jed also gets hit.

It basically ends with a dying Jed holding a dead Matt on a bench at a playground telling him to hang on because Dad is coming to pick them up.

Danny and Erica survive. The last scene is of the American flag flying over where they hid out which has become a national monument called Partisan Rock and Erica doing a voice over about how it will always be remembered how the young fought the invaders or something like that.

It's just a great movie.

Hmmm.
The resistance forces would be small as long as the majority of the US population was kept tranquilized by “bread and circuses.” Could be done.

Thank you!

It's just a great movie.

It sure is. Hard not to audibly cheer them on every time they fight back.

so you admit you didn’t understand it? Pretty much anyone who laughs all the way through it as you claimed, loves commies, hates America and sleeps with their own mother.

“To keep our country we have to defend it from the jihadists AND the liberals. Its not going to be easy and its not going to be pretty.”

They both are going to have to be ventilated.

:-)

I saw in a theater when it came out. There were cheers. The leftist reveiwers hated the film. Most others loved it.

We are among the most technically capable Militaries and quite powerful.. However we are seriously handicapped by poor leadership at the Senior Level. That poor leadership has allowed a hollow force to be created.. A force where the Tail is 10 times bigger than the teeth. Where General Officers develop kooky ideas and doctrines which even when dis proven they slavishly adhere to.. Such as the use of Wheeled Vehicles easily destroyed by mines in Iraq.. Poorly conceived and even more badly executed doctrines such as the “Light Fighter Doctrine” which has been responsible for the unnecessary loss of some 800 Servicemen and Womens lives in Iraq.

Can you imagine of some 120,000 Service Personell in Iraq less that 20,000 actually are engaged in some form of Combat Operations?

What does it say about the Most Powerful Army on Earth when our troops are attacked and killed by 35lb mines while they are ordered to drive around like tourists so some General can say he is doing “Presence Patrols” and that Iraq which is at least 5 different subnational wars is a “Stability and Support” operation.

What is missing is an acceptance of reality by our senior leadership.. Our Generals do not want to be there. They do not want to fight. The “Light Fighter Generals who have been in charge of this war from the beginning are now having Cols and others write article saying they did not have enough men Baloney.. The old heavy forces got in their way.. Baloney..

“Every body is out of step but my Johnny” (The light fighter).

What kind of Morons give the enemy the opportunity to kill American Servicemen when we have the means and equipment to largely prevent it?

Our problem is not our Troops, It is not our field commanders. Our problem is not even just the DemonCrats in Congress. Our biggest problem is the Light Fighter egotistical Generals who rotinely punish and prosecute anyone who actually gets out and begins to fight and win this War..

W

so you admit you didn’t understand it?

I admit that it was a ludicrous fantasy.

I see from your personal info that you've been there, done that. From that you should realize what incredible logistic feats are required to mount a force in Iraq, a force that would only qualify as a "token" force in comparison to any WW2 campaign, Korea, or Vietnam. It took months of massive airlift and sealift to put the Desert Storm forces in place, and those forces were far, far less that was required for an invasion of Europe.

Red Dawn totally ignored logistics, and had a small force of taco benders conquering the American heartland. How did their token force of armored vehicles and aircraft get there after the initial raids alerted the US military to an invasion? How did the invaders assemble the massive forces required to fight the US military to a stalemate without being detected well in advance and interdicted?

I understand the appeal of the movie to American patriots, which I most certainly am, but it's a ludicrous jagoff fantasy scenario. The Japanese had the resources to invade the Left Coast after Pearl Harbor, but they were smart enough to know they would get bogged down in a hopeless war of attrition on the US mainland. No one else in contemporary history has had anywhere near the resources required to militarily invade the US on any scale at all. It's not going to happen and it can't happen.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

They are **Marxists**!!!

It is time we stopped using the words “liberal”, “leftist”, “Socialist”, etc. We must use the word that fits: Marxist!

and purging the military and Federal law enforcement agencies

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

If I were the Commander in Chief, I would have every soldier, and every federal police officer, stand in formation every day and recite a portion of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence so that every few months they would have recited all of it. I would add to this the military pledge to uphold the Constitution.

There would be no excuse for them not knowing the Constitution, and their lifetime pledge to see that it stands.

I agree with you some what, however, when our food supply is suddenly uneatable beacause of toxins shipped in from overseas, and 95% of Americans depend on Kroger etal, most would bend over and accept any food from any source they thought was safe. They could quarantine and shut down every store that sold food tommorrow and my family could eat indefinatley. Since I brought that up, people better understand what farm subsidies and the federal land bank is all about before calling for an end to it.

However, the incoming Mexicans are a significant aspect of that government’s policy. I believe that way in back of the members of that government’s minds lurks “reconquista.” The Mexicans have about taken over Los Angeles and some of its surrounding cities.

Subversion and sabotage always works up to a certain degree, but the conversation here seems to focus on an invasion of the US. Here's the taco bender army coming up through Mexico:

Logistics, logistics, logistics.

Agree. Many forget that in the American Revolution only about 150,000 took an active role. Lenin conquered the 100,000,000 of Czarist Russia with about 250,000. The French population of 1790 was about 35,000,000 and the monarchy was over thrown by about 200,000. The over throw occurs in the major cities.

Yes, this was a concentrated attack on the enemy, OWK as the highway of death of Iraqui troops leaving Kuwait. Subversive attack is what could bite us in the ass, think internall meltdown.
