I was going to write a reply to this maroon, letting him know that his threatening letter has been the occasion of much merriment, here at FreeRepublic. But a Google search did not turn up an e-mail address. And given that the price of stamps is going up 2 cents on the weekend, it wasn't worth sending them a letter.

Googling did turn up some information on contributions from the firm's lawyers to assorted Democrat candidates, no surprise there. It also turned up the information that name partner Jeffrey Sandler is the lawyer for MoveOn.org From that alone, it is a fair conclusion that this firm's interest in objective truth is nil, zip, nada, zilch.

I love it. Basically the democrats are exercising the full Stalinist press. Lets say the freeper was wrong about hearing that Dean called the governor of Kansas. So what? What is there to cease and desist from? Expressing an opinion or being wrong about a matter of public concern and a public figure? If that is the case, then the NY Times and Washington Compost would have to cease and desist every damn day. These people (the DNC et. al.) really believe that they are superior beings that have the divine right to suppress all who disagree with them.

What is next? Wait, I know, if I thought that a conversation happened between Dean and the Gov. of Kansas wherein Dean asked the Gov to take actions in the face of a disaster so as to gain political advantage, if I thought that, then I will probably be getting a letter from the DNC asking me to cease and desist from thinking that. I must cease and desist from thinking Howard Dean is a screaming nut job. I love Big Brother.

Oh, and PS to the DNC Stalinist pile of dung who sent this letter, JimRob is not responsible for my opinion, I am. JimRob provides a forum where I express my opinion. He is no more responsible for the opinion I express than the owner of a side walk would be if I where to choose to shout my opinion there. Although, I am sure you are busy figuring out a way to prevent me from doing that as well.

From February 1993 until May 1998, Mr. Sandler served on the staff of the DNC as general counsel. He continues to serve in that position through his law firm. In this capacity, Mr. Sandler has been responsible for all legal matters affecting the national party, including campaign finance, election and ethics laws and rules at the federal, state and local levels; proposed campaign finance legislation and regulations; the legal structure for national and state party operations and programs; corporate and commercial matters; and other issues affecting the party in the fields of voting and civil rights, communications and taxation, among others.

Good catch, CB. Doesn’t surprise me that MoveOn’s flacks would have that day job, too.

It is also a fair conclusion that Mr. Jeffrey Sandler is only fit to engage in the excremental uses of the law....

Thank you for the time to research this ...

Moveon.org eh?

Mouthpiece for the democrat extremists, of course, but how do they “count” as far as “contributions in effect” - the Washington democrats sued to get a radio show shut down for “contributing” to the republicans by talking about a democrat scandal before the election.

See, if moveon.org gets unlimited and unregulated and anonymous contributions (from Soros or other overseas funds and governments) that are/are not tax deductable, then THEY can “contribute” to advertising and political tactics like this for “free” for their democrats.

Then that must mean that this is a part of the overall Media Matters monitoring of conservative outlets. This C&D is part of the same strategy to marginalize Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, O'Reilly, and now Free Republic before the 2008 election gets too hot.
