HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania A sperm donor who helped a lesbian couple conceive two children is liable for child support under a state appellate court ruling that a legal expert believes might be the first of its kind in the U.S.
A Superior Court panel last week ordered a Dauphin County judge to establish how much Carl L. Frampton Jr. would have to pay to the birth mother of the 8-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl.
"I'm unaware of any other state appellate court that has found that a child has, simultaneously, three adults who are financially obligated to the child's support and are also entitled to visitation," said New York Law School professor Arthur S. Leonard, an expert on sexuality and the law.

General Jack D. Ripper (from Dr. Strangelove).
This sperm donor should have heeded the immortal words of General Ripper!!
Sounds like he was a bit involved in the lives of the children, but nevertheless the whole article makes me think being a donor is NOT a good idea. Sounds like pesky lawyers and our gay intifada in this country is pushing to make life miserable if you even look at them lone enough help them bring a child into this world.
The process was very informal Jacob was inseminated at home.
Although I sit back and humorously say to myself, this guy had it coming, I cant help but think of how men get screwed every day in domestic courts. Women go into child custody and child support hearings and they are holding 4 aces against against a man’s pair. This is a great extension of that, but it does go to show how DAMNED a man is in child support and custody cases.
Women who commit adultery and run off with another man taking the kids with them practically always get custody and child support. Even though the man is left at home with House payments, car payments, lawyers fees, bills for the home to be paid with his paycheck, while the woman who took off is living off another mans check and has hers to add to it so they live high on the hog.
Sorry about that rant but I am watching my son get screwed over by a pig that isnt fit to shine his shoes much less raise my Grandchildren.
Has paternity been established?
There might be good reason to believe the doctor is also the ‘donor’.
One ‘stroke’ too many for Mr. Frampton.
Now why would you help a couple of liberal )y%^s conceive a child and not expect trouble. Stoopid.
Let’s get this right:
A dead man can owe a lesbian $1000 a month because he screwed her once or twice.
Boy, Vince Foster owes Hillary a whole lot of money......
Our child support system is for the benefit of the children not the adults.
So if what’s in the best interest of the child is supreme, the adults must pay, regardless of any legal agreement the adult came to prior to the exchange.
I feel your pain. Most divorce attorneys will admit that the system is stacked against men from the start. Of course if there is video of the pig being a pig........;)
Looks like they're going after deep pockets: Social Security survivor benefits.
He needs to file for custody of the children, then. That will get their attention for doing this.
I see...so he is no longer around...so he can’t file for custody.
This is all so strange - talk about disfunctional.
You can almost smell the lawyers coming after his estate on behalf of the child. I do not know what he had but you can be sure it will be sought after by the lawyer for the child.
Since child support payments are for the children, then the oourt should also require the custodial parent to document their usage FOR the child rather than using it for themselves.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
Maybe it will deter the whole "sperm donation to lesbian couple" business.
That’s what I was thinking. When I was in college, I knew a woman who had a illegitimate child and the child’s actual father had disappeared. She knew a man who was dying of a chronic disease, so she talked him into marrying her and claiming the child was his. When he died, about six months later, she and her child claimed the survivor benefits. I don’t know how this turned out, because this person was an acquaintance with whom I did not want to keep up. I do remember feeling sorry for the baby, bacause of the kind of “family” it had.
It should also be taxable income.
