Barack's Sister Souljah Moment?
MSNBC ^ | May 11, 2007 | Keith Naughton

Nine years ago this week, Al Gore warmed up his run for the presidency by making a visit to Motown and speaking to the Detroit Economic Club. I covered that speech and recall that Gore was entering hostile territory. Detroit, an SUV boomtown in those days, was deeply skeptical of the vice president, who famously called for the death of the internal-combustion engine.

My, how times have changed. This week, Sen. Barack Obama attempted to fuel his presidential run with a scalding speech to the Detroit Economic Club, castigating Motown's big wheels for driving our dependence on foreign oil. "For years, while foreign competitors were investing in more fuel-efficient technology for their vehicles, American automakers were spending their time investing in bigger, faster cars," Obama told an audience stunned into silence after greeting him with a standing ovation."

Obama seems to have a bad case of foot in mouth disease.

On the rare occasions that Obama Osama isn't being carted around on private jets or taxpayer funded SUV motorcades, his personal vehicle is a Chrysler 300C with a 340 horsepower, 17mpg V8. And yes, it "rolls" on "dubs".

I don't know how smart his handlers are. When he said 10,000 people died in Kansas, there were two idiots in back of him shaking their heads yes. LOL!

Smiley has a big mouth, so he has room for a lot of feet.

I've always been curious whether Soros owns smiley free and clear or if he has other owners as well. I thought it a little beyond a coincidence how his only real opponent for the U.S. Senate was suddenly taken out just months before the election with what was supposed to be sealed divorce records.

Hillary wanted the NY Senate Seat and JFK, Jr. ended up dead. Obama wanted the Illinois Senate Seat and, suddenly, Jack Ryan's sealed divorce records became public information.

It just goes to show you how clueless Obama is about Kansas or its demographics. There are only 80,000 people in Lawrence. How is a tornado like that going to kill 10,000 people in a city of less than 2,000?

Yes, it was one of the most disastrous storms I’ve ever seen, but that kind of wild exaggeration shows he didn’t even research the problem 5 minutes before talking about it.

Shame on a business for trying to meet the demands of its customers.

“It was definitely uncomfortable,” says Eric Foster, a Detroit political consultant who sat near tables full of auto execs. “The mood lightened when he took on the oil industry.”

Ah, but it’s ok to castigate the Oil industry. Sorry, but I feel little pity for these particular U.S. Automotive industries. They want people to slam “big oil” so it will take the attention off of “big auto”. I know precisely what they mean when they say they want “fair trade”. That’s code for protectionism.

Osama Obama is a zero cat. Only fools support him. I predict Butch will get the democrat nomination and choose her old New Mexico friend (the current Gov.) as her VP running mate. On the republican side, with Giuliana imploding and McCain going nowhere fast, it’ll probable be Romney and former Senator Thompson. That’s a good republican ticket, but I’d like to see it reversed. Go Fred!
