While I haven't watched that show in a long time (or any network TV for the most part), I've got to say that I always enjoyed the show, plus I always thought that the woman who played his wife on the show, Constance Marie, was H-O-T!!!

Everything on prime-time network TV is garbage, anyhow.

Don't you know, on TV you can't say "whiter" without also adding "new and improved?"

His ego is appalling. Like he is the only hope of Latino TV.
This isn’t the first time a TV show has been canceled with not much of a courtesy phone call.
He’s a bit of a wanker if you ask me.

I don't think TV is trying to get "white"; I think it's trying to get "green". Mr. Lopez was probably filtering out the color.

George Lopez, the first Latino to lead a television series successfully, isn't laughing. Whaaaat? Who's he kidding? His show was low-rated from the get-go. Freddie Prince and Chico and the Man was the first successful Latino program.
To: kik5150
That explanation was painful to hear, Lopez said, considering the way the network has shuffled his show over the years -- four different time slots in five years -- and putting it up against "American Idol" time and time again. "TV just became really, really white again," he said.
What a pathetic comment. Does George Lopez really think his is the only show to be screwed by inept, wishy-washy scheduling and stiff competition?!? There were hundreds of other shows over the years that could legitimately make that complaint, some of which were certainly more brilliantly crafted than The George Lopez Show. NewsRadio comes to mind.
Shame on him. What a bigot.

It lasted five years. That is a pretty good run. I don’t know why he is complaining instead of thinking of another show and see how that goes.

Gee, not TOO much of an entitlement mentality, huh? And tossing in the race card for good measure - bra-VO, George! /sarc

‘”TV just became really, really white again,” ‘
And you just lost millions of fans for suggesting its race based, Mr Lopez.
So much for the ‘macho’ hispanic. This is the whine of a metrosexual, pure and simple.

canceled his self-titled comedy, which over the years chronicled his personal life from his sad childhood growing up with an abusive grandmother, to his alcoholism and kidney transplant. Sounds hilarious.

I saw a little bit of his stand up schtick during a free hbo promo.
Just a LaRaza joke fest that was 100% irrelevant.
Perhaps somebody needs to tell him he is not that funny.
