Aw, George. Rather than understand you were not making money for the production, you used the race card. Well, glean all the sweet times of the past years, and ditch the sour grapes, for your own sake.

I never watched the show. Then one night I turned it on. Before the first commercial came on, my wife couldn’t stand it any longer - she left the room. I watched the rest of the show and didn’t so much as crack a smile (I think it was suppose to be a comedy). I tried watching it one more time, the following week. That was enough for me. Never watched it again.

Well, if none of your other ventures pan out, George, I still have a position open for pool boy or gardener.

George Lopez, the first Latino to lead a television series successfully, isn't laughing. Doesn't 'Chico and the Man' count?

George Lopez, the first Latino to lead a television series successfullyI assume "George Lopez" must be English for "Ricardo Montalban"?

Just as long as they don’t cancel ‘Sabado Gigante’.

George, I hope you can get your life back together.
It only takes 28 days and a real commitment to quit.

George Lopez, the first Latino to lead a television series successfully, isn't laughing. "TV just became really, really white again," he said.Five years is a pretty good run for any sitcom. Did he think it would go on forever? I was a fan, I watched and usually laughed. I'm sorry to see him go and I'm sorry to see him go 'racist', if you will.

The best thing about this show was his wife. What a hottie.
Personally, I stopped watching network television when Seinfeld went off the air.

Rush played clips of Oprah saying how she had lots of nice white folks working for her. But minorities can’t be racist.

I watched about 5 minutes of his show by accident once, and it really, really sucked. Not suprising the loser would play the race card when the network finally grew the balls to cancel him.

I liked this show, even though I only saw it a handful of times, if that. It struck me at the time as one of the few family oriented shows on network TV. There seems to be a lack of network TV shows depicting a “normal” nuclear family situation. Imagine that./s

...self-titled comedy, which over the years chronicled his personal life from his sad childhood growing up with an abusive grandmother, to his alcoholism and kidney transplant.
For some strange reason I don’t find these subjects very funny. Maybe if he gouged his own eye out...

One Hundred YEARS in Films and Television! Show of hands...who really thought that George was the FIRST of his race to break through 'The Taco Curtain?'
Cameron Diaz? I always thought she was a 'Boring White Chick' like me; much prettier, though much less talented, LOL!
And Jimmy Smits? One word: Yummy!

Oh yeah, count the “Black” shows, sitcoms, etc. George Lopez show didn’t make it because he’s a liberal activist, vulgar jerk who isn’t all that funny.
