Yes and no. SS is a pay as you go system. The revenue that is "surplus" to the system, i.e., the amount left over after benefits, is put into the General Fund and can be spent on anything. The Treasury issues non-market T-Bills for the "surplus" and deposits them into the SS Trust Fund. The SS Trust Fund really represents a liability not an asset, which is why the SSTF is included as part of the National Debt under intragovernmental holdings.

So the illegals' SS contributions could be seen as adding to our national debt. Their contributions have already been spent.

Duncan Hunter is our country’s last hope. If he doesn’t win in ‘08, it’ll be the end of America as we know it.

I signed onto the Hunter campaign early. They sent me some bumper stickers, but that's all. They have no organization here in Florida and the whole thing is run on a shoestring. That's not good. What I could give and perhaps what all freepers could give combined is but a tiny drop in the bucket of what is needed to get his campaign jumpstarted. I have to confess, if Fred Thompson gets in (he'd better HURRY!) I'll jump ship for his campaign. I think Hunter is more of a valid "conservative" than Fred, but I think that Fred can win. In fact Fred might be the next Reagan in the drawing power he will have with those conservative and disaffected democrats that used to be known as REAGAN DEMOCRATS. Heck, my late mom was one.

Some on another board are calling for a "National Strike Against Illegals - "A DAY WITHOUT AMERICANS"...not sure of the details. Maybe we can encourage Conservative Radio hosts and Patriotic Congressman like Mr. Hunter, Mr. Tancredo, etc. to endorse...?

Just a thought...I'm so pissed off about this sellout that I could chew nails, and we must do something...anything to stop these CRIMINALS from destroying our republic.
