In a desperate attempt to make Rudy Giuliani out to be the hero of Tuesday night’s debate, Fox News is continuing to attack Texas Congressman Ron Paul for something he did not say. In the latest installment of this campaign, John Gibson of Fox News says that Paul “suggested that the U.S. actually had a hand in the [9/11] terrorist attacks.” No, what he said was that U.S. foreign policy was a reason why Osama bin Laden attacked America. This is a fact.
Gibson’s comment shows how Fox News has been eager to slant the news in favor of Giuliani, who claimed in his famous response to Paul that the congressman had said that the U.S. “invited” the 9/11 attacks. That was false, too.
Some would say that Ron Paul’s foreign policy views, in this day and age, are somewhat naïve. But Giuliani’s assault, assisted by Fox News, which co-sponsored the debate, goes so far over the line that an honest media watchdog has to say something. Gibson, trying to make Paul’s comments about 9/11 into “The Big Outrage,” claimed that he was a member of the 9/11 truth movement, the group that claims the terrorist attacks were orchestrated by some kind of secret cabal of U.S. officials. He compared Paul to Rosie O’Donnell, who suggested 9/11 was an inside job.

Accusing a man who acually fought for this nation of not caring about the Constitution is a little low, even for the Ron Paul cowards.

I’ll click on the thread. I do not trust Ron Paul to defend my country. It is that simple.
The left lies about it and those liberals in the GO LIE about it because Ron Paul, like him or not, is highly regarded by conservatives and will drive the conversation as such and demand that others talk a REAL conservative talk and not simply mouth it.
The GOP wants him barred from the remaining debates. Thats a cop out and simply being said so that the candidates do not have to actually address things from our conservative view point.

They don’t have to lie about Ron Paul. All people have to do is review his insane rantings at the debate, and they know he’s not fit for running the asylum, let alone the country. His demeanor said as much about him as what he said.
So no, you not only don't give a damn about the Constitution, you are actively attacking one of maybe 6 people in Congress who still give a sh*t about it.

As to isolationism, if you think Eisenhower, Nixon, Reagan, Bush I and Bush II were isolationists, then you're using a very different definition of isolationism than Ron Paul. In fact, other than the erroneous connection between the America First Committee (which covered the landscape from Robert LaFollette to Father Coughlin) and the Republican Party, I'd be hard pressed to think of isolationist Republican Presidents. It's more the issue of folks who can't get elected.
All of you need to take a deep breath. We can argue without resorting to personal attacks. It makes us all look stupid!
Honest to goodness, I read Paul’s comments again yesterday, and for the life of me, it sounds like John Gibson’s take is on the money.
Remember: Paul is ON RECORD as a serious isolationist. His comments must be taken in that context.
If you read his comments a little more closely, you’ll see that he wants to watch you. Closely. Some of these people have a lot of time on their hands, lol!
