When did our Politicians start selling the American people out? (Vanity)
May 18 2006 | balboa

Posted on 05/18/2007 11:06:14 AM PDT by balboa

Why is the Politicians, that are suppose to be protecting our country, and economy, selling the United States out? Why would they choose to hand over our American rights, to 12 million illegal immigrants, that are doing nothing but committing crimes, ruining neighborhoods, taking jobs, and stealing government and American benefits. It makes no sense, but what does make sense is that the people who are in office were put there by us. These same people that are suppose to be listening to us, the American People. The only way for them to understand that we do not want the illegal immigrants in this country, is for all of them to be replaced, lose their jobs now, and replaced by real Americans, that have the best interest of the country at hand!

Americans should demand for the resignation of every person, politician who wants this bill passed. Because obviously these people are not concerned or care about this country!

Because, as congressman Steve King (R-Iowa) said yesterday, "they love power more than they love their own children and grandchildren."

This is simple to me. They don’t like the way the average American was voting, so now they will just bring in new people, who (out of gratitude, of course) will vote exactly the way they want them to.

In 1898 the supreme court ruled that income taxes were un-Constitutional so the government set about adding an amendment which they did.

From that point on this country has gone to foreign wars, given up its power and prisoned its own people.

I will once again attribute many of opur problems to the 17th Amendment. Once again, the need for our Senators to rely on, and constantly campaign for popular election/re-election means that they pander to the masses as a glorified house of representatives instead of advocating for the interests of their respective states as our founders had intended.

It got really bad in 1913, when both the Income Tax and the Federal Reserve System were created.

Just as the left has a tendency to blame Bush for all things that go wrong, I'll admit to using the 17th as my personal scapegoat and whipping boy.

I think I'm probably closer to the mark in most cases.

IMO. The greatest downfall was when Wilson signed the Federal Reserve system into law—he gave away the country to big money and apologized for it when he left office. The sell-out is cumulative in my opinion and has been accomplished by both parties. I believe it became most obvious to us idiots during the Clinton fiasco and technology that opened the door wide on the dirty tricks against the American people. Sunshine has exposed their long held power but it took so long for technology that we are way behind the eightball.

This has set off a firestorm with our fellow Republicans. I look forward to how this issue will effect the Republican Presidential race. McCain was counting on us forgetting about all his funny business in the first half of 2006. In a way it reminds me of Feingold forcing all the other Senate Democrats running for president to vote for surrender, something that will haunt them next year. In this case McCain is in for some well deserved heat right now.

I think you answered your own question. I went to bed last night pondering why George Bush selected Cheney a Vice-President that had no intentions of carrying on the Republican agenda for a run to be President. Furthermore, I find it interesting that the Administration has really done nothing to put a person forth. After yesterday I am wondering if this is intentional and openly recognizes there is no difference anymore between parties. Or the desire of the powers that be -- is to have there be no difference! It is all very depressing to me.

“When did our Politicians start selling the American people out? “

Since the Hispanics became the fastest growing voter block in the country. With the last two Presidential elections being photo finishes, both sides are trying to out do each other in pandering for their votes. This bill still has a long way to go to getting passed, but you can bet the perceived bipartisanship will be short lived.

They sell you out the minute they get elected and head off to Washington. Once there, they pull a 180 degree turn on the people who got them into office. I’m convinced they are all lower than used car salesmen and lawyers. How can this stupid amnesty bill be called a compromise? It’s a complete sell out of the country to third world status. Big business will get the cheap labor they want and the democrats will get the socialist votes they want to pass all there big buck socialist programs. The middle class will no longer exist. The country will be made up of 60 million tree trimmers and 100,000 fat cat socialists living in their guarded (Kennedy like) coumpounds.

1913 sounds about right, although I think that Teddy Roosevelt was intrigued by the big things that government could do.

Some people date it back to Lincoln, but I think what he did was ultimately right.

First, there were politicians. Second, came the day the politicians took power. Third, (later that day) the people started getting sold out.

Actions by congress and our president such as we see concerning this immigration amnesty are the reason that the 2nd Amendment was drafted. It was not written so as to allow duck hunting and trap shooting as the ruling class insist. They know that they are literally playing with fire on a lot of this stuff and that is why they are so intent on taking everyones guns.

While some will use your query as an excuse to make wisecracks, I will try to give you a more serious and analytic answer.

We have always had corrupt politicians--along with the very high percentage of statemen, in the time of Washington and Jefferson. But what has happened, increasingly, over the past century, has been an enormous "dumbing down," of people going into the verbal professions, teaching, journalism, politics, theology, etc.. This has resulted from the explosion of competing job categories, where people could make more money, as a result of exploding technology. The drain has been the greatest among those with Conservative and family oriented proclivities--those seeking to pass on an ascending lifestyle to their children.

The ever less adequate folk left in the verbal arts seek to feel important by being "trendy," "sophisticated." In their shallow pursuit of the notion that "intelligent" people think a certain way, they embrace the pap that the Left puts out as "enlightenment." They fear that to even question it, will cause them to be ridiculed, maybe even assailed as "benighted," "bigoted," or what have you. Thus they predictably act like the crowd in Andersen's "The Emperor's New Clothes," and line up to praise every crack-brained scheme presented to them.

The hour is very late, and we will either take America back from the posturing dolts and the betrayers who manipulate them, or we can kiss our heritage "goodbye."

This all started with Teddy the Swimmer in 1965...Teddy wants power, craves power....It gets him laid! It’s as simple as that! He also wants the minority vote for his rotten, liberal Party...

He doesn’t care about the real Americans who pay the bills and have NO minority status...He and his rotten party only car about minorities....About government programs staffed with inept managers and evem more inept employees who just got off the Bananna boats.. They are given special status because of their race...He knows that they will vote for his party in order to keep the freebies flowing

...Meanwhile those of us who wre born here, paid our taxes, served in the military, are the ones who have to live among ‘em. If we have to go to places like our emergency hospitals we have to pay...They don’t.They don’t pay for any services..Private schools kiss their arses..We as tax payers pay for them...It’s hard when you are on a fixed income too..I know because I am...

They get special financed loans enabling them to move in next door to guys like me..They play music all night and drink out on their steps..They are allowed pretty much to put graffiti on walls because it’s part of their culture too.. Teddy, Barbara, and Nancy doen’t care because they sure as hell don’t live among ‘em either...That’s for the peasentry!!!

When is the last time you have seen liberal democrats posing wih a Europen American? How come their always Brown?

Look at the make up of the liberal congress, Dianne Frankenstein, Barbara the Boxer, and Nancy Pelosi, were all elected from the San Francisco bay area...Nancy and Frankenstein from the City and Boxer from Marin County.....Now they are making decisions for the whole nation....It’s a travesty...

It got really bad in 1913, when both the Income Tax and the Federal Reserve System were created.

That's my vote too. It passed just like the WTO law when nobody was looking. Its been a continual relinquishing of sovereignty whether it was managing our own money, our trade or defending our nation's borders.

I just can not understand why anybody in congress would willingly sell out their country then or now. Looks like communism is still alive and well. We put a gravestone on that pig way too soon.
