I have considered it a joke ever since it was mentioned. Anyone remember a few decades back when the scientists were all supposed to be predicting the next ice age due to man’s pollution?

The lefties always have to have a strawman, an urgent threat that they can claim to save you from. Why? So that you will accept the laws they pass restricting your freedom, cause you need to be saved from the threat.

I doubt it. Too many people have a stake in it to ever let it die. If you've based your scientific career or political power base on something, you're going to resist any threat to it, no matter how much evidence there is. If we were back in the 17th century, we'd be attacked as phlogiston deniers.

I know one liberal that is a strong supporter of the theory that man is the cause of global warming. He says he doesn't believe man is creating the global warming as stated but that doesn't matter. The cars and all oil driving equipment that create CO2 also create CO and because of that it becomes a common fight.

In other words he accepts that it is a lie but that doesn’t matter to him.
