Ok, so we have an estimated total Muslim population of between 2 and 7 million. According to that page, "well over half are members of first-, second-, or third-generation immigrant families
So how many came post 9/11? No mention at all. But, I hardly think that second-, or third-generation immigrant families came in AFTER 9/11, you?
Kinda blows your point, doesn't it?
:O)

You missed the point, and I don't believe it's 2 and 7 million. The point is Foggy Bottom is inviting more.
But here are some numbers you crave:
In 2005, more people from Muslim countries became legal permanent United States residents nearly 96,000 than in any year in the previous two decades.
More than 40,000 of them were admitted last year, the highest annual number since the terrorist attacks, according to data on 22 countries provided by the Department of Homeland Security. --nytimes.com, 9/2006
And no, it's NOT a religion of peace. And it only takes one. Anyway, you have a nice night.

I dont get it. Didnt everybody know GWBs position even before the 2004 Election? And now many Freepers even considerers to impeach him?Just think what will happen when Giuliani is President.

Currently 88% in favor of impeachment for war and security issues. Poll has been DUmmied for a while. You ain't kidding. This is horsebleep. You can't impeach a President because you think he's doing a lousy job -- there has to be a violation of the law. Henry Waxman is rooting around in the slop to find something, but so far, he's come up snake eyes.
OTOH, not even the most ardent of Clinton's supporters thought he told the truth under oath in the Jones deposition; they just thought he had to right to commit perjury because it was "only about sex."
MSNBC is ginning up a drive for impeachment so blantantly, they ought to be investigated by the ATF for moonshining.

I would have impeached for his signing CFR while admitting that it was unconstitutional.

A couple of hours later, it’s still 88% in favor of impeachment. A lot of those votes for impeachment are, more than likely, a result of this Amnesty Bill for Illegals.

The most important thing at the time of RR was winning the cold war. Remember that? As time went by the illegal immigration problem grew to what it is today.Bush is bordering on treason with his inactivity on closing the borders. Now I ask you,Who is doing anything about it now?Certainly not bush. You got that pal?

im beginning to understand why so many are leaving this site....if bush doesnt do exactly 100% what you want, he is torn to pieces... No, California is being torn to pieces. It was a paradise when I was a kid; the illegal alien invasion ruined it.

Which should include closing the borders because of national security.Three of the fort dix six came across the southern border illegally. Now do you see the problem? We are being taken over from within.

If he is successful in destroing this Nation with the forced passing of this “Immigration” Bill, I will be for impeachment for that reason.

and ONE man GWB is responsible for that? What about all the governors you’ve had?
To: imahawk
Which Reagan should have closed when he gave amnesty, right? But he did not. You seem to want to give Reagan a pass because you claimed he was dealing with the cold war. I pointed out GW is dealing with a war too. You are a hypocrite like many here. The borders need to be closed and immigration needs to be dealt with. I have never said different myself. Many of you here act like immigration began under GW and it is all his doing. Illegal immigration has been a problem for 50 plus years and no president or any leaders of Congress, like Newt, did a damn thing about it. You throw this is GW’s lap and some here call for his impeachment over this that other President’s like Reagan, who is revered and should be, get a pass on. You are a HYPOCRITE.

Do you believe President Bush’s actions justify impeachment?
Yes, between the secret spying, the deceptions leading to war and more, there is plenty to justify putting him on trial.
No, like any president, he has made a few missteps, but nothing approaching “high crimes and misdemeanors.”
No, the man has done absolutely nothing wrong. Impeachment would just be a political lynching.
I don’t know.
Interesting the found a way to break out the ‘no’ votes into different catagories, so as to ensure they get a ‘yes’ total at the end.
Or...at least thats what they are hoping for.

Probably the same FReepers who stayed home in November allowing the congress that would have been at least GOP enough to control this immigration crap to be replaced by those who eagerly do Teddys bidding. So how do you explain last years senate bill which is the same mess as this one when the Repubs controlled congress?? Too bad a few more rino senators weren't eliminated. At least with the rotten dems we know what we've got. The only one doing Teddy's 'bidding' is George Bush, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Chambliss...woops!! ALL republicans!

It isn’t just how RINOs vote. RINOs caucus with the GOP - if you have a majority - you control all committees.
Remember how the dims kept conservative Supreme Court nominees bottled up in committee so they couldn’t be voted on - that’s one example.
Last year’s immigration bill was practice - but it was the House GOP and ONLY the House GOP who held the line and killed that thing - but they needed to be “taught a lesson”.
Rush pointed this out more than once but p!ssed off voters didn’t listen and punished whoever they could.
The Senate is hopeless but the House GOP is more responsive to the people. This year is much scarier because we don’t have those people in the House anymore.
