I have sent mine a head of lettuce, since he and his counterparts believe that we need 20 million Mexican Criminals in this country to make sure we have produce, maybe sending him his head of lettuce will at least delay this bill for a week.

Bush: "This bill provides the best chance to reform our immigration system and help us make certain we know who's in our country and where they are."
Translation: Who are you going to believe? Me or your lying eyes?
===
The Bush Administration -- including George W. Bush, Michael Chertoff, Tony Snow, Alberto Gonzales -- and much of the U.S. Senate have no credibility on this issue. They apparently cannot even comprehend the language in their own Comprehensive Immigration bill.
When a bill basically says that illegals are allowed to stay while they apply for Z-Visas, that is de facto amnesty.
If this current bill is the best The Elected can write, they all need to resign in disgrace and allow people who have more competence to write a bill that supports the national sovereignty, rather than the best interests of Mexico's wealthy class.

“As I have said from time to time and stand by my statement. Presidents should ONLY be elected for one six year term.”
I agree. President 6, Congress 4 and that’s it.

help us make certain we know who's in our country and where they are What is he smoking? Why do supposedly serious, educated, responsible people believe that persons already demonstrated to be scofflaws will suddenly have a change of heart and voluntarily put their collective neck in a noose?
The policy itself is almost an afterthough compared to the obviously unworkable structure and methods used to "administrate" the lawless. If the WH launched a program to count the number of leaves on every tree it would stand an equal chance of failure.

Look ahead. Has anyone remarked about where legalizing these non-amnesty’d folks will lead. Let me suggest the next fight will be universal health care. And then we become a socialized third world nanny state.

Mr. President,
I realize that technically, amnesty means to grant a pardon and of course no politician would be so foolish as to use the word "pardon" in this case.
But ... here's how the American people have decided if it is amnesty or not:
Does it reward or punish people for breaking the law?
If the answer is "reward" (and how can it be anything else), it is amnesty.
So let's stop with the semantics and parsing. We used to have a president who spent a lot of time parsing his statements and actions. We didn't like him very much.

Mr. President... I voted for you twice because I thought you were a good man with a vision. Please don’t blow smoke up my arse with dumb statements like that. Insulting our intelligence with B.S. statements will only achieve what Jimmy Carter claims about you.

McLame is the WORST. He was on Hannity yesterday, and I was yelling at the radio. (luckily I was alone in my car).
McLame was pointing at the [unenforceable, and will NOT be enforced] “punishments” to say that this bill was not amnesty for illegals.

I just got off the White House Comment line a few minutes ago.Their number, for anyone interested,is (202)456-1111.After having waited on hold for about 15 minutes (at about 9:15 AM Eastern) a very polite woman came on and asked me for my comment.I told her that I was vehemently opposed to this amnesty bill and that the President insults my intelligence when he tries to convince me that it's *not* an amnesty bill.
After I had finished I asked her if their phones were busy,if a large percentage of the calls she's gotten are about amnesty and if a large percentage were for or against the bill. She said that she's not at liberty to be specific but she assured me that "you're not alone" in opposition to this bill.

Does not even matter to them because on Hagel is up for reelection in 2008. That is the biggest shame. They are going to get away with this because by the time they are up for election, this will probably be a dead issue or long forgotten and I am not talking about FREEPERS because we have a great way of keeping up with “bad” things that they do but the SHEEPLE don’t pay attention or remmber.

I just sent Senator Lugar an e-mail: “No! Bad senator!”
If I wanted a `knuckle-head’ for a senator, I’d move to (the great state of) Massachusetts . . .

>>>>>Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenberg, Ronald Reagan and perhaps Harry Truman were the only great Presidents in the 20th Century up to the present. TR created BIG government Republicanism .... Harry Truman was a New Deal/Fair Deal liberal who ran from office .... Reagan was great .... Ike was near great. Outside of Silent Cal --- Calvin Coolidge -- the rest of the 20th century Presidents weren't good leaders.
Dubya is deadwrong on his support for liberal immigration reform. The process allows illegals to become legal and thats amnesty.
Btw, its Dwight Eisenhower, not Dwight Eisenberg. ;^)
