McCain: "Obama wouldn't know the difference between an RPG and a bong."
politico.com ^

Posted on 05/25/2007 11:47:23 AM PDT by cdnerds

McCain responds to Obama in tough enough, if predictable, language:

"While Senator Obama's two years in the U.S. Senate certainly entitle him to vote against funding our troops, my service and experience combined with conversations with military leaders on the ground in Iraq lead me to believe that we must give this new strategy a chance to succeed because the consequences of failure would be catastrophic to our nation's security."

But, McCain being McCain, he can't help himself and goes the next step in the statement's kicker:

"By the way, Senator Obama, it's a 'flak' jacket, not a 'flack' jacket."

Which is to say, "there is only one of us in this argument who has ever worn the uniform." (my words)

And if you still don't get it, a McCain aide blows away the anthill with, well, a rocket.

"Obama wouldn't know the difference between an RPG and a bong."

Makes McLame look even more unstable and unprofessional.

Hmmm. That means that if you're a Fred-head, the whole thing is a two-fer. Because it makes Osama-Obama look like a pot-head.

Or in the National Guard, like Dan Quayle. Or was in the Congress, like Dan Quayle. Or who served a full term as a Senator, like Dan Quayle.

You've got to admit Dan Quayle was more qualified for national office than Barack Obama.

She used to pop up on Tony Snow’s talk show weekly, but since he went to the Whitehouse, I can’t recall hearing her anywhere these days, now that you mention it.

See Jonah pop up once in a while, but thats it.

I don’t think McCain would make a good President, but he’d make a good Press Secretary.

He’s admitted as much.

Can’t help but wonder if he won if a friend would smoke crack on the roof of the Whitehouse, ala Willie Nelson smoking a joint during Carter’s reign of error.

This McCain/Obama thing is like Hitler calling out Stalin for something.

Both are left-wing anti-Americans

McCain can easily show Obama the difference between an RPG and a bong by visiting some of the illegal alien neighborhoods...where I am sure they can find both

Flak..... flack

Potato....potatoe

Both "alternate" spellings. And now, of course, Obama will get the Dan Quayle treatment from the press.

Heck...Caligula put a horse into the Roman Senate simply to demonstrate the facts of political life under his rule.

For a modern political machine to put Senator with only two years experience into the White House wouldn’t very much different.

“Obama wouldn’t know the difference between an RPG and a bong.”

Politico suggests aid too if you read the text. The title is misleading.

Dan Quayle actually read that word off a cue card held up by a member of the nation’s largest teacher’s union.

For the Mexican invasion of America, maybe? McCain supports President Bush’s sell-out of America which makes him a non-candidate for the republican nomination. He’d have a better chance competing against Obama in Obama’s party. Amnesty is one issue both he and Obama can smoke a bong over if they think America will accept the Kennedy/Bush great American sell-out.

Me, too. He has certain qualities that I like. But at the end of the day, his name is on two of the worst bills ever in the Senate. McCain-Feingold and McCain-Kennedy. Bad news.

What ever does that mean, “not presidential”? I love it, and wish our president would take the gloves off like this.

Ah, will Obama get the flak from the media that was dished out to Dan Q. I think not.
