Palestinians run as a rocket falls at them during an Israeli air strike on the Hamas Executive Force building in Nusseirat refugee camp in the centre of the Gaza strip, Friday.

In picture number two of the explosion, the runners all seem to be lowering their heads towards their chests which would be a normal reaction to an explosion. This would seem to lend a little credibility to the photo.
I think that’s because of blur from the speed of the missile. Israel has been using the Apache and Hellfires significantly in the last ten years.
The real question is how did these people know this rocket was inbound
by using the naked eye, I thought they went silent after burnout without a trail?
Maybe them Palestinians have high intakes of vitamin A.
I'm calling BS on this Picture.
Those are AIM-9 Sidewinders (IR seeking) on the tips.
Strictly air-to-air.
Ok. Thanks.
Just guessing here anyway. I really don’t know enough (or anything for that matter) about missles.
I think the explosion is real. Just not sure about the missle.
I suppose it could be real, but it may have been ‘staged’.
Oh well. On to the next subject! :0)
It looks like its going to miss. That’s too bad.
Oh heck it is no where close to those clowns.. Now a good FAC would have called “DPICM bad guys in the open” the next picture would have been a lot of cat food.
Why are we wasting out tax dollars supporting Israel when they are letting so many of the Terrorist Vermin live.
Ok Little Israel, one more chance...come on now, get out there and fight. Do to the vermin what they try to do to your children and your innocent... but do it to them first.
W
GBU-12 without the fins deployed as if it hadn’t been dropped, yet.
... it didn't really match up
Yeah, except they’re all lowering their heads in picture number one, too! Well, several of them. Note the guy in olive drab in front of the tree, left center ... he’s super lowering his head. Also, the guy in the right foreground keeps about the same posture in both pictures.
Several of them are looking towards the upper left. This would make sense if they were looking at a plane making a run, but that missile pasted there does not compute.
I think what you may be looking at is a ground ‘swell’ from the explosion.
Fake, but I like the implication of it.
I picked a possible site for these photos from Google Maps, on the northwest edge of the Nusseirat refugee camp.
I went by the red roof, which seems to be unique in the area. They would be running to the west through that orchard across the road to the southeast of the red roof.
This is probably wrong, but it must be something like this, and it raises the question of what this strike was hitting, and where all these guys are coming from.
The Nusseirat camp itself is very dense with buildings.
I came to the same conclusion this morning, when I did a pixel-matched overlay of the two photos --using "difference-mode transparency" on the second one. ("Difference mode" subtracts one picture from the other.)
Since any number (pixel value) subtracted from itself is zero -- and zero in RGB is black -- any pixels that are the same in both iimages show as black in difference mode. The weeds showed as black -- meaning that they were there in both photos -- and that the black smoke behind them merely made them stand out clearly in the second photo.
Conclusion: The two scenes -- including the explosion -- are authentic. OTOH, since I've never seen a missile in that configuration, I still consider the "frozen" missile to be questionable...
Wow, I cant believe any of you even consider the possibility it could be real.
Just shows how gullible (newspapers) some people are.
Um, was this bomb lazily dropped from a crop-duster plane? Cause if not... I would assume... that this thing called gravity would kick in... and the ‘missile’ should be angled directly up and down, not coming in from the side.
If it was rocket powered it could have a different angle, overcoming gravity, but i see no trail. Also, the shutter speed on this camera would have to be so good to not get any sort of blurring on the missile. Again, that silly gravity. I doubt this guy has the best camera ever made and has a steady enough hand to produce this perfect shot while mayhem is going on around him as people scramble to get away (but he doesnt).
Also, as if it wasnt obvious enough by the ridiculous poses these guys are in... look at the guy in the front right of the pic... hes not running away!! He is merely running on a parallel to the town... every step he takes as of this pic leaves him exactly as far away from town as the last!
LOL!
