I received a letter from Rudy's campaign in the mail asking me for a donation. I have no idea how I got on his mailing list (as I noted in the letter, probably from signing up to his email updates during his aborted 2000 Senate candidacy)
In any case, Rudy's campaign was kind enough to include a prepaid "reply" envelope, so here is my reply to his campaign.
The letter goes out on Monday. I hope he takes the advice. ;-)

Consider removing the underlines. Distracting. Your words either stand on their own or they don't. Underlined words and words in bold do not make a better letter.

(in [2000], dropping out of the Senate race and leaving the New York Republican Party scrambling to find a replacement candidate). It is understandable that he dropped out in 2000 while being treated for cancer. You do have a great point about 2006, though.
