I can't say that I respect Europe's attitudes in recent years but I think they truly thought they were doing good all along. They had defended Western Civilization for a long time but I think this article explains how they lost their way. I do feel that if we let Europe fall, we are throwing away a lot of good and decent people and our common history. We need allies and there is enough commonality left in our two continents and enough life left in treditonal Europe to defeat Jihad and the socialism that supports it.

>"two out of three Swedes doubt whether Islam can be combined with Swedish society."

Gee, that's only 1/3rd less than the amount of slimes that believe they can be combined with any society, including their own!

The decay is very far advanced, much further than seventy years ago. Europe is now in its post-Christian age, whatever that may bring.

They may wake up and want to fight the islamicization, but for what? Not for Christian or even "Western" Civilization, they don't believe in that any more. For "multiculturalism"? For "diversity"? For "equality"? Nope, sorry, inequality, i.e. Sharia, is entitled to equal weight in our multicultural universe.

Men and women will fight and die for King and Country, but not for multiculturalism and diversity. For that they will confess to crimes they didn't commit and shake the hand of Ahmadinanutjob to get home.

Gedaechtniskirche at night, low angle.
pan-Europe pinglist.*
This pinglist covers a broad range of topics relating to Europe: culture, current events, politics, science, history, arts, etc.

Warning: This could be a high volume pinglist.

Note: This pinglist covers--but not as much--Eastern Europe. There is already a moderate volume pinglist for that region.

Ping if you see a pertinent thread.

*To get on or off this list, freepmail with the subjects Europe on or Europe off .
No message is necessary.

To get on or get off this pinglist, freepmail here, with the appropriate subject.

There is also a:
John 3:16 (New King James Version): "16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
This pinglist can terminate at any time, without notice.

"Most of them [Europeans] still haven't heard of Eurabia, or the fact that the European Union, including many of their own, entrusted representatives, have actively encouraged massive Muslim immigration to the [sub]continent."

This is as stupid a statement as those Europeans who consider most Americans to be ignorant.

Because they don't agree, therefore they must not be informed.......
Trashy logic.

"Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome."

Loopy Churchill.

If Europe is going to be a major power, it is going to 'need' some sort of political union among the European countries, whether or not that union is the current EU.

As a European, I concur. The liberal intelligensia that runs Europe genuinely do believe they are doing good, but the road to hell, as they say, is paved with good intentions...

Non-Russian Europe's current Muslim population is still fairly small. Even in France, only around 10% of the population is estimated to be from or have ancestry from Muslim-majority countries (which doesn't necessarily translate into all of those people being Muslims), and France has the most (barring Turkey, which isn't set to become a member of the EU soon, and has been disconnected from the bulk of the rest of Europe for some time).

Hopefully that 'commonality' (see cultural similarity) diverges over time, and Americans produce a more distinct American civilization from that of Western Europe (just opinion).

Singapore is a Muslim-majority country which isn't 'third world.'

And European civilization is the cultural ancestor of American culture. Not all Americans' ancestors were Europeans.

Simply pointing out....

I wonder if Europe’s post-christian Godot will offer a 7 year peace treaty?

No, it's not.

Firstly Singapore is more of a city and less of a country.

Secondly, here's the religious breakup:

The Singapore census includes detailed data on religion and ethnicity, and is taken on a ten-year basis. Figures for religion in the year 2000 are: Buddhism - 42.5%

No religion - 14.8%

Christianity - 14.6%

Islam - 13.9%

Taoism - 8.5%

Hinduism - 4%

Other religions - 1.6%

As in, more than half of Singapore believes in a Dharmic religion. The rest are mostly Christians and Atheists/Agnostics. Islam is a tiny minority.

GAS! Gas! Quick, boys!-- An ecstasy of fumbling, Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time; But someone still was yelling out and stumbling And floundering like a man in fire or lime.-- Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

Allah! Allah! Quick, girls! -- An ecstasy of fumbling, Fitting the clumsy burkas just in time.....I saw her drowning.

It seems to me that you are undereducated. The first 4 of the following are government organizations.
